Chapter 2089

Hearing that Master Wade had arrived in Tokyo, Rueben trembled with fear. He hadn't expected Master Wade to be there. He knew Jasmine and the old man were manageable, but Master Wade was a different story. The news sent him into a panic.

Master Moore, on the other end of the phone, was surprised. "Rueben, what's wrong? What's all the commotion?"

Rueben regained his composure, forcing down his anxiety. "Grandpa, what's Master Wade doing here? I can't believe it. Is he here because of Jasmine?"

Master Moore hummed. "Master Wade is a righteous man. He and Jasmine have always had a good relationship. Since something's happened to her, he rushed to Tokyo immediately. That shows how much he values her. With his help, the chances of finding Jasmine are much higher!"

Rueben seethed inwardly. "Damn! Charlie Wade, that bastard! What's he doing in Tokyo at this time? What's he doing in Tokyo instead of being at home with his wife? Does Tokyo revolve around him?!"

Rueben knew Charlie Wade's capabilities, which fueled his anxiety. He worried about being exposed to Charlie Wade, and he worried about whether Wade could actually find Jasmine. If he rescued Jasmine, what then?

Master Moore, sensing Rueben's lack of response, asked, "Rueben? Are you still listening?"

"Yes, Grandpa, I'm listening!" Rueben quickly reassured him. "Grandpa, it's great that Master Wade is here! I'm much more at ease now!"

Moore said, "Yes! Hearing that Master Wade arrived in Tokyo solidified my hopes. I believe with him here, Jasmine will be safe."

Rueben echoed, "Grandpa, you're right. I feel much safer with Master Wade here."

Master Moore chuckled. "Rueben, after we hang up, call Master Wade and meet him immediately. From now on, do everything he says in Tokyo, understand?"

"Don't worry, Grandpa. I'll be at Master Wade's beck and call!" Rueben replied.

"Good. Just maintain that attitude. Call him now!"

"Okay, Grandpa! I'll hang up then!"

Rueben hung up, consumed by anger. He slammed his fist on the glass coffee table, cutting his hand. The pain was insignificant compared to his rage and anxiety.

He hated Charlie Wade intensely. "This Charlie Wade! Meddling in other people's affairs is too lenient! Does he think he's all-powerful just because they call him Master Wade?! The Moore family business is my son's business. Why is he interfering?!"
