The Amazing Son-in-Law

Chapter 191

"Are you going to stand there and watch Harold commit murder?!" Jacob Wilson shouted angrily, witnessing Harold raise an axe at Charlie Wade.

At that moment, Mrs. Wilson and Christopher remained unfazed, calmly watching the courtyard brawl without blinking. Other Wilson family members remained equally silent, as if the unfolding events held no personal relevance. Mrs. Wilson's sole interest lay in the villa; nothing else mattered. As the old saying goes, the older one gets, the greedier they become. Even kings, in their twilight years, sought larger palaces and grander tombs. Mrs. Wilson, similarly, yearned for a more luxurious life and a lavish burial. She craved endless wealth and splendor in the afterlifeโ€”hence the older generation's obsession with elaborate caskets and mausoleums. Regardless of the present circumstances, she was determined to possess the $130 million villa. Even if Harold killed Charlie Wade, it wouldn't matter as long as she secured the property.

Jacob and Claire Wilson looked up at this cold-hearted groupโ€”their blood relatives. These supposed loved ones were prepared to steal and even kill to achieve their aims.

"Harold's just playing around," Jacob muttered. "It doesn't matter if he hurts Charlie Wade; he's not family anyway." In his view, Charlie, a powerless son-in-law, was inconsequential. His death would simply facilitate seizing the villa. That $130 million property, with its rapidly appreciating value, could be worth at least $200 million by the time Mrs. Wilson passed away. Who could resist such temptation?

"I don't have a brother like you!" Jacob roared, grabbing a mop and striking Harold. Christopher, fearing for his son, intervened, but Jacob struck him on the shoulder before Christopher could fully react. Christopher cried out in pain.

Witnessing her usually gentle father's rage, Claire felt disgust and animosity towards the Wilson family, while simultaneously worrying about Charlie Wade's safety.

Charlie Wade, still gripping the axe blade, sneered at Harold. "Harold, let's be clear. You've never been a threat, and you never will be. You're utterly incompetent!"

"Go to hell, Charlie Wade!" Harold raged. "You're trash, and you dare talk to me like thatโ€ฆ"

Before he could finish, Charlie Wade seized Harold's wrist, twisting it 180 degrees. A sharp "pop" echoed as Harold screamed in agony, his wrist broken. He collapsed, wailing in pain.

Chapter 192

Mrs. Wilson, witnessing Charlie Wade break her grandson's wrist, stormed towards him, ready to slap him. But before she could strike, Charlie Wade spun around, coldly stating, "Old woman! You're asking to die!" He then slapped her across the face.

The shock rendered her speechless. She stumbled backward, trembling under the force of the slap and the icy, homicidal aura radiating from Charlie Wade. She covered her face, too terrified to look up. This terrifying expression was unlike anything she'd ever seen.

The Wilson family was stunned. This "piece of garbage" dared to strike Mrs. Wilson? But no one dared retaliate. The injured bodyguards were incapacitated, and the remaining ones were too afraid to act.

Though wanting revenge, Mrs. Wilson knew better than to provoke him. She couldn't gauge his fighting prowess and recognized her inability to overpower him.

Claire's heart pounded, her gaze fixed on Charlie Wade. She felt a mix of apprehension and a newfound respect. Before today, she had only viewed him as a simple cook and vegetable buyer.

Seeing no one dared approach, Charlie Wade addressed the two bodyguards attempting to hide, "Open the door, or I'll break your necks!" Terrified, they unlocked the door.

Christopher growled, "Mother, we can't let them go!"

Mrs. Wilson gritted her teeth, "Let them go!"

"Grandmother, how can you let them go?!" Harold screamed, his eyes filled with hatred. "He broke my wrist! I'll kill him!"

Mrs. Wilson silenced him, "Enough!"

Christopher stepped forward, "Charlie Wade, you've harmed my son and violated Wilson family rules. You'll regret this!"

Then, Mrs. Wilson declared, "From now on, Jacob Wilson and his family are disowned! I no longer consider them my children!"

Jacob Wilson, blood splattered on his face, replied indifferently, "I don't want to be part of the Wilson family anymore."

Claire nodded, "Yes!"

Mrs. Wilson, through gritted teeth, continued, "Claire Wilson, you are a disgrace! You're expelled from the Wilson Group! Due to our partnership with the Emgrand Group, they'll follow my orders. Stay away from me!"

Claire responded firmly, "I don't care about the Wilson Group. Dad, let's go."

Claire and Charlie Wade supported Jacob, leaving the Wilson villa without looking back. Claire felt no remorse; she'd finally seen her relatives' true colors. Their actions revealed that they were far inferior to outsiders.

Chapter 193

As Charlie Wade drove away, Jacob Wilson raged, "If I'd known my mother and brother were so ruthless, I wouldn't have helped them!"

Claire sighed, "At this rate, the Wilson Group will collapse."

Elaine Ma added indignantly, "We helped them so much! They got the Emgrand Group contract because of us! It feels like we did it all for nothing!"

Charlie Wade replied casually, "Mom, if they keep this up, they won't end well."

The Wilson Group's survival depended entirely on their partnership with Emgrand Groupโ€”a group he owned! They had angered him, and yet still planned to profit from Emgrand Group? That was wishful thinking. One call to Doris would ruin them.

Jacob Wilson touched the dried blood on his temple, "Who knew the Wilson family could be so heartless? We haven't even stayed in Mr. White's villa, and they're trying to take it! They're bullying us."

His eyes brightened. "Son-in-law, can we go to the Thompson First villa? I want to see it again."

Claire quickly responded, "Dad, we're almost home! Barry's overseeing renovations; it's not finished yet."

Jacob sighed, "I just want to see it. Otherwise, I can't sleep."

Charlie Wade understood. He said to Claire, "Since Dad wants to see the villa, let's go. We can also discuss interior design with Barry."

Jacob smiled, "Charlie Wade understands me best."

Claire sighed, "Okay, let's go."

Charlie turned the car around and drove to Thompson First.

Chapter 194

Upon arriving, Charlie Wade noticed a commotion at the villa.

Claire asked, "What's wrong?"

Charlie Wade replied, "Something's not right. Let's go in."

They found Wilson family bodyguards throwing furniture out of the villa.

Jacob Wilson exclaimed, "Those are Wilson family bodyguards!"

Charlie Wade's expression hardened. They wouldn't stop.

"Who let you in here?!" Charlie Wade yelled.

The bodyguards tensed. Harold emerged from the living room.

"I did," Harold stated, holding a crowbar and with his right arm bandaged. "Since you've been kicked out, this villa belongs to the Wilson family. I'm here to reclaim it!"

Claire gritted her teeth, "You're going too far! You're trying to forcibly take the villa because you couldn't get Charlie Wade to give it up!"

Jacob Wilson yelled, "Harold! This villa belongs to my son-in-law!"

Harold sneered, "Who do you think you are, Claire Wilson? You're disowned! You think you can talk to me?" He pointed the crowbar at Jacob. "Get out!"

Charlie Wade coldly asked, "Where's Barry?"

Harold laughed, "Oh, the old man guarding the villa? I beat him up. Now he knows who the real owner is."

"You hit Barry?" Charlie Wade asked, his face cold. Barry, though a former White family butler, was now working for him, and was over sixty years old.

Harold sneered, "How else would he learn who his master is?"

Enraged, Charlie Wade punched Harold, hitting him squarely on the nose bridge. Harold screamed in pain as blood gushed from his nose.

"Why are you standing there?! Kill him!" Harold yelled at the bodyguards.

The bodyguards charged at Charlie Wade with knives.

"Charlie Wade, you're good, but let's see if your fists are stronger than these blades!"

Claire and Jacob paled as the bodyguards attacked. Could Charlie Wade win against blades?

Charlie Wade's expression was detached.

"You think you can kill me?"

With incredible speed and skill, Charlie Wade effortlessly dispatched the bodyguards, leaving them screaming on the ground with broken limbs.

Chapter 195

Harold was stunned. He hadn't expected the armed bodyguards to be so easily defeated. He trembled under Charlie Wade's murderous gaze.

He'd only come to claim the villa on Mrs. Wilson's orders, intending to harm Charlie Wade. He hadn't anticipated this outcome. Was Charlie Wade even human?

Charlie Wade approached Harold with a lethal expression, ready to teach him a lesson.

Harold trembled, "You can't kill me! I'm the Wilson family's grandson! The Wilson family won't let you get away with it!"

Charlie Wade grabbed Harold by the collar, "The Wilson family means nothing to me."

Harold desperately pleaded with Claire and Jacob for help, ignoring his previous treatment of them.

Claire glared, "You deserve this! You asked for it!"

Jacob Wilson hesitated, torn between family loyalty and his feelings about the Wilson family's actions. He knew they still held power, and killing Harold would bring retribution. However, he finally said, "Charlie Wade, just teach him a lesson."

Charlie Wade threw Harold to the ground, his face bloodied by the gravel.

"I'll spare your life, but you'll live a life worse than death!" He punched Harold hard in the groin, rendering him impotent.

Harold writhed on the ground in agonizing pain.

Charlie Wade called the police to arrest everyone. He checked on Barry, who fortunately only had minor injuries, then felt a surge of anger towards the Wilson family for provoking him.

At home, Jacob Wilson, bruised and battered, sat on the sofa in a daze. He felt betrayed by his family.

Claire applied medicine to his forehead. "Dad, Charlie Wade got revenge for you. Don't take it to heart."

Jacob sighed, "I'm alright. I'm just disappointed that my mother, brother, and family never treated me as one of their own."

"Now that you're expelled from the Wilson Group, what are your plans?" Jacob asked Claire.
