The Amazing Son-in-Law: Chapters 201-205

Chapter 201

Girl Wilson was in utter shock. How had this happened? She couldn't believe Charlie Wade had influenced the White family to end their engagement with the Wilsons. Her heart ached. She wanted to plead with Zeke not to leave the family, but other events unfolded rapidly. After announcing the annulment of Gerald and Wendy's engagement, Zeke left the Wilson family home with Gerald.

Wendy collapsed, weeping uncontrollably. She had devoted years to Gerald, giving him everything, even carrying his child, only to be abandoned. She felt hatred and bitterness towards her grandmother.

Christopher was also despondent. He had followed the old lady's orders regarding his brother's family, yet gained nothing. Worse, his son was injured and jailed, and his daughter abandoned by her fiancé and his family. He felt he had suffered more losses than gains.

He voiced his concerns to his mother. "Mom, I always obeyed you, yet now my family has lost everything!"

Girl Wilson calmed herself before reassuring them. Regarding Wendy's marriage, there was nothing they could do about the White family, but there was no need to worry. Wendy was attractive, and many wealthy young men would surely seek her hand.

"Don't forget our agreement with Emgrand Group," she continued. "We can rely on them. The Wilson family will overcome this. Once we win, we won't need anyone! Why rely on others when we're exceptionally wealthy?"

Christopher asked, "Mom, Claire Wilson manages the Emgrand Group agreement. Now that she's been ousted from Wilson Group, shouldn't someone replace her?"

The old lady immediately declared, "Harold will take over as soon as he's released from custody. He'll be fully responsible for the Emgrand Group project."

Christopher felt relieved. Although his family suffered a great loss, his mother was compensating them. If Harold received this position, he could turn his life around.

Lady Wilson continued, "We can't afford mistakes with Emgrand Group. Harold must ensure we secure more projects."

Christopher responded, "Mother, don't worry! Harold will do his best!"

A doorbell rang. A man in a suit entered the courtyard.

"Excuse me, is Lady Wilson home?"

Girl Wilson greeted him. "I am Lady Wilson. May I ask who you are?"

"I'm a lawyer representing Emgrand Group."

Girl Wilson responded enthusiastically, "Oh! Please come in!"

"No," the man replied coldly. "I'm here to deliver a letter."

"A lawyer's letter? Why?" Girl Wilson asked, shocked.

"This letter terminates the agreement and all collaborations between Emgrand Group and Wilson Group. Emgrand Group has decided to end all projects and collaborations."

"What?!"

Chapter 202

This was a shock to Girl Wilson and Christopher! They had just relied on Emgrand Group to solve their problems, and now a representative was terminating the agreement and all future dealings! This was a significant blow to Wilson Group.

The old lady trembled, asking, "Lawyer, what's going on? Haven't all our cooperations been successful?"

The lawyer responded coldly, "We worked effectively with Miss Claire Wilson. Since she's left Wilson Group, we're no longer interested in collaborating."

Girl Wilson realized this was because of Claire. She was furious. Why did she have such a useless granddaughter? She, the head of the Wilson family, should have been given due respect, not Claire!

Girl Wilson raged, "Isn't Emgrand Group a reputable company? Aren't you worried about a lawsuit if you terminate the agreement so casually? Aren't you concerned about your reputation?"

The lawyer smirked, "Lady Wilson, did you review the contract? There's a clause allowing us to unilaterally terminate any project or collaboration."

He continued, "Everyone in Aurouss Hill, even the entire country, knows Emgrand Group terminated the contract. Everything we're doing is legal. Other companies will hesitate to work with you now. Good luck, Wilson Group!"

"Youyou" Girl Wilson was shocked. How would Wilson Group survive being blacklisted? Bankruptcy was the only outcome.

No! The Wilson Group belonged to her! She needed its success and the prestige it brought. She couldn't face bankruptcy!

This thought brought the old woman to tears. She pleaded, "Lawyer, I'm an old woman, please ask Miss Doris for mercy! We depend on Emgrand Group!"

The lawyer sneered, "I'm sorry, but Miss Doris decided to terminate the agreement. She doesn't want to collaborate with someone as rude and shameless as you!"

He threw the letter down and left. Lady Wilson, enraged, spat blood and fell unconscious.

Chapter 203

News of Emgrand Group blacklisting Wilson Group spread quickly throughout Aurouss Hill. Everyone knew the Wilson family was finished. News of the old lady's hospitalization also spread rapidly.

Jacob Wilson, Charlie Wade's father-in-law, wasn't surprised. "She always controlled others. It was only a matter of time before her actions caught up with her. Let her reflect in the hospital."

Charlie Wade was relieved that Jacob finally seemed to distance himself from his mother's problems.

Claire Wilson began looking for a job.

Later, Charlie Wade heard the door open. Jacob Wilson walked in, looking exceptionally pleased.

Charlie Wade asked, "Dad, what's so happy? Did something good happen?"

Jacob Wilson laughed. "After taking the pill you gave me, all the pain disappeared! Do you know who I met on Antique Street?"

Charlie Wade worried his father-in-law had been scammed again. He was relieved to see Jacob empty-handed.

Jacob Wilson said, "Son-in-law, remember Zachary, the trickster on Antique Street?"

"Yes. What happened?"

"Haha! I met him today!"

Charlie Wade was shocked. "Did you get something from him again?"

"No!" Jacob Wilson waved his hands. "Zachary knows I'm your father-in-law and didn't dare cheat me. He gave me a jade pendant and helped me sell some medicine!"

Charlie Wade frowned. The jade pendant was likely fake, but he found it strange that Zachary would sell medicine for him.

"What medicine?"

"The pills you gave me! It's a heart-soothing pill," Jacob Wilson said excitedly. "My injuries are completely healed! Zachary heard about my injuries and the pills' effectiveness, and offered to sell them. I gave him two, and he actually sold them!"

Charlie Wade was surprised. The pills weren't rare, but he was astonished that Zachary had sold them.

"Dad, there's no verification for these pills. How could you sell them?"

Jacob Wilson replied, "I don't know, but Zachary helped. Do you want to guess how much I sold them for?"

"Over a thousand dollars?"

"No, you're not even close!" Jacob Wilson laughed triumphantly. "I sold them for half a million bucks!"

Chapter 204

Who was this unfortunate person who had so much money to be fooled by this profiteer?

Charlie Wade asked, "Who did Zachary sell the pills to?"

"I'm not sure. Zachary said he needed to maintain client confidentiality."

Jacob Wilson shook his head. "Zachary gave me the $500,000 and said he was doing this to honor you."

Charlie Wade shook his head. Zachary couldn't change his ways!

However, since Zachary sold the pills at such a high price, Charlie Wade was relieved Jacob could use the money to subsidize their living expenses.

No longer depressed, Jacob Wilson smiled and hummed as he walked into his bedroom.

Charlie Wade told Claire Wilson.

Claire Wilson leaped out of bed, asking nervously, "Charlie Wade! What if something bad happens after taking the pills? What if they don't work?"

"Don't worry," Charlie Wade smiled. "Those pills treat blood pressure and promote good circulation. Even if anyone used it improperly, the only side effect is a nosebleed for two days. They can only blame themselves for buying medication without prescriptions! How could they lose money like that?"

Claire Wilson was still unconvinced. "Then who would pay $500,000 for two pills?"

Charlie Wade replied gently, "Maybe someone with cerebral obstruction or a family member with cardiovascular disease. The pill would be effective for them."

Claire Wilson felt a little better. These were incurable diseases costing hundreds of millions to treat in a hospital.

Chapter 205

After dinner, Charlie Wade received a call from Don Albert.

Although Albert was a notorious mob boss, he had been low-profile since meeting Charlie Wade. Charlie Wade didn't like him but found him shrewd. Albert had helped Charlie Wade solve a problem with Douglas in the hospital, and Charlie Wade had given him a second chance.

Charlie Wade answered, "Albert, why are you calling?"

"Mr. Wade! I heard about what you did at the White family mansion."

Charlie Wade said coldly, "Get to the point."

Albert hurriedly responded, "Oh, Mr. Wade, you're extraordinary! The eldest daughter of the Moore family is in trouble, and I'd like to ask you to help her."

Charlie Wade paused. "The Moore family? Jasmine?"

"Yes! Miss Jasmine is in trouble!"

The Moore family was one of the leading families in Aurouss Hill. Jasmine didn't know Charlie Wade's true identity; she only knew him as someone skilled in antiques and metaphysics.

When Charlie Wade had called for the Thunder Order and used lightning to strike Jack, he had terrified many. He concealed this from Jasmine, telling her it was a coincidence. Jasmine believed he was just lucky.

Since then, Jasmine had distanced herself from Charlie Wade. He hadn't expected her to be in trouble.

Charlie Wade asked, "What's wrong with Jasmine?"

Albert quickly replied, "Miss Moore has encountered a lot of misfortune recently. I think something's wrong with her Feng ShuiShe's consulted many Feng Shui masters, but they couldn't help her. I'd like to ask for your help."

Charlie Wade replied, "Tell me about her problems so I can make a judgment."

Albert hurriedly replied, "She's had several injuries recently. The Moore family also had business problems, significantly impacting their business. What distressed her most was losing a valuable ruby necklace, an antique her mother gave her before she died. Miss Moore cried for days after losing it."

Charlie Wade chuckled. "It seems Jasmine is facing bad luck due to bad Feng Shui lately"

"Exactly!" Albert exclaimed. "Mr. Wade, you're a metaphysics master. You'll definitely have a way to solve this, right?"

Charlie Wade asked, "Albert, why are you so concerned about Jasmine? What's your relationship with the Moore family?"

Albert quickly responded, "Mr. Wade, I was able to thrive in Aurouss Hill because her grandfather helped and supported me. I've always kept in close contact with Miss Moore's father and helped them."

Albert continued, "Frankly, the Moore family is my benefactor, and I'm doing everything I can to repay the favor."

"Okay," Charlie Wade responded. "I can see you're sincere."

"Okay!" Albert responded excitedly. "Thank you, Mr. Wade. I'm very grateful."

Early the next morning, Don Albert called Charlie Wade again.
