Phoebe said meaningfully, “You should tell Cain about Sienna’s rent condition. I’m sure he’ll be delighted to bear it.”

Cain wasn’t being a complete fool; he had moments of clarity. And with Jaman and Elliot around, this was the perfect opportunity for the Jenkins family to strike back.

Reece thought Phoebe was genuinely concerned about Cain. He hadn’t planned on visiting the hospital at all. But if Phoebe wanted something done, he would do it.

He said, “I was actually planning to check on him today. I’ll update you on his condition afterward.”

She shook her head. “You can go visit, but don’t bother sending me updates.” She had rekindled interest in anything related to that unlucky basani.

Reece hesitated for a moment before nodding, “Alright.” She had no intention of being alone with him any longer. So, she said, “You should head over now. I have things to do.”

Reece immediately understood that she was kicking him out. His heart ached, but he forced a smile. “Okay. But be careful.” Then, unable to stop himself, he added, “If you go back to Solara City, take me with you.” He didn’t care about the danger. All he wanted was to stay by her side.

Phoebe saw right through his intentions and felt irritated. She raised an eyebrow. “Take you with me? So you can slow me down, Reece? Do you still not have any self-awareness?” If she brought him along, she’d have to watch out for him if they were ambushed. Worse, their enemies could use him against her, forcing her to hold back. A burden like him was the last thing she needed.

Reece’s face turned pale at her blunt rejection. He let out a bitter laugh. “I just…want to stay by your side.”

Phoebe scoffed. “And where were you before? I don’t need you watching over me. I don’t need you worrying about me. If you can just not be a burden, I’d be grateful enough.” Ophelia hated her so much, and he had played a big role in fueling that hatred.

Reece felt utterly humiliated. He said, “I promise. I won’t hold you back!” He had finally seen Sienna and his mother for who they truly were. He would never help them again, nor would he bring Phoebe any more trouble.

Phoebe nodded. “Good. Now, goodbye.” She didn’t waste another second before shutting the door in his face.

Reece stood there for a long moment, his heart sinking. He knew her personality well. The more he pushed, the more she would push him away. So, without another word, he turned and left.

At the hospital, Elliot had returned to Caluwa after finishing his business. Once Cain’s condition improved a little, he planned to take him back to Solara City for treatment. Jamar also arrived from his hotel to visit the hospital room.

Meanwhile, Cain was having an absolutely miserable day. He had already suffered twice today, and now he lay on the hospital bed looking like a man who had completely given up on life. And every day, he regretted his past stupidity even more.

So when Reece suddenly showed up, the Jenkins men were genuinely surprised. Given Reece’s personality and their strained relationship, he wouldn’t drop by for a casual hospital visit.

Reece was about to tell them that Phoebe had sent him. He knew she wanted nothing to do with the Jenkins family anymore. Luckily, he happened to be in Idwan, passing by. So, he figured he’d stop in to check on Cain.

As a guest, Elliot maintained his manners despite his poor impression of Reece. “Please, have a seat,” he said with a polite smile. He even got up and poured a glass of water for Reece.

Reece chatted casually with Elliot for a bit before bringing up a topic—his recent encounter with Sienna in Oriar. The Jenkins were visibly surprised. They thought Sienna had been sent to the Horoscope Association for investigation by Carl. Yet, she was still running around outside. Clearly, something was off.

Elliot quickly realized that Reece’s visit wasn’t just about checking in on Cain. It became clear that he had deliberately come to tell them about Sienna. So he asked directly, “Do you know how she ended up like that?”

Hence, Elliot, who had no fondness for Sienna, didn’t bother to cover for her. “I heard she tried to get someone to steal Phoebe’s hair and blood, planning to hand them over to a Voodoo Warlock to curse her.” He continued, “But somehow, her own hair got switched instead. So in the end, the Voodoo Warlock cursed her instead, and that’s why she’s like this.”

Reece had a strong suspicion that Phoebe was the one who switched the hair, but he kept that part to himself. The others exchanged looks. They thought Sienna was truly vicious. She had even resorted to hiring a Voodoo Warlock against Phoebe.

After dropping the news, Reece didn’t linger for long. He stayed for a short while before leaving. Once he was gone, Jamar turned to Elliot and said, “Dad, you should have someone check Sienna’s accounts for any large transactions recently.” If she had hired a Voodoo Warlock, it must have cost a fortune.

Elliot nodded and immediately instructed his secretary to investigate. Since Sienna had always used a Jenkins family-issued card, the results came back quickly. After reviewing the report, Elliot’s expression darkened. “She transferred one million dollars and then 2.3 million afterward. Then, she emptied her account and sent the remaining balance to another account.”

All these years, they thought they were raising a harmless little rabbit. But instead, they had been nurturing a venomous snake. His gaze swept coldly over his two sons. “From now on, none of you are to give Sienna any more money.” Whenever she had money, she caused chaos.

Although Elliot himself had never directly given her money, he knew that his wife and some of his sons had. Jamar and Cain nodded in agreement. “Understood.” Only a fool would continue funding her never-ending disasters.

After some thought, Elliot said, “Since Sienna has brought this upon herself and got cursed by the Voodoo Warlock, her condition must be bad.” “Doesn’t that mean it’s now easier for Cain to take back his luck from her?”

Cain’s eyes lit up. “That’s very possible?” He immediately turned to Elliot and pleaded, “Dad, can you make a trip to Oriar! See if you can find Master Flynn again. Maybe this time he’ll be willing to help.”
