Listen to this chapter:

Ewan's eyes lit up. "Melody?" Melody, in a blue and white top and black skirt that accentuated her figure perfectly, stood before him. Her slender legs were close together as she smiled. "You spared me from the rain by offering me a ride today. Let me hold the umbrella for you in return."

Ewan smiled. "You've got a date, don't you? Here, take this umbrella. I'll get going now," Melody said, starting to leave.

She had only taken a step when she twisted her ankle, inhaling sharply in pain. Ewan hurried forward. "What's wrong, Melody?"

Tears welled in Melody's eyes, making her look vulnerable. "I twisted my ankle. It hurts."

"I'll take you to the infirmary," Ewan said, scooping her into his arms. Melody looked at him innocently. "But you have a date, don't you?"

Smiling, Ewan replied, "You're more important than the date."

Blushing, Melody asked, "Could you take me to the dance studio? There's some medication there."

As Ewan carried her into the studio, Melody gazed at his face. "Ewan, how did you know who I am?"

Ewan paused. "Our university had a basketball competition recently. I was the basketball team captain, and you were the cheerleading captain. I noticed you instantly when you came out to dance. But back then, you didn't seem interested in any of the guys in our university."

Melody had always been the cheer captain. During that game, she wore a basketball jersey to warm up. Her large breasts bounced under her shirt, attracting attention. Ewan had noticed her thenโ€”it was hard not to, as the boys constantly talked about her, calling her the most popular girl from the dance faculty. Yorhine University's dance faculty had two popular students: Melody, known for her breasts, and Clara Wells, known for her hips. These features certainly attracted attention.

His words touched Melody. Ewan had liked her for a long time, while she had been focused on Nathan.

A clap of thunder shook the sky. Melody shrieked, wrapping her arms around Ewan's neck. Looking down, Ewan asked gently, "You're afraid of thunder?"

Melody nodded. "Yes."

"Scaredy-cat," Ewan teased, earning a playful glare. Their eyes met, the intensity forming a palpable connection. Suddenly, a melodious ringtone sounded from Ewan's pocket. The phone continued to ring, but he ignored it. Curious, Melody asked, "Ewan, aren't you going to answer it? What if it's urgent?"

A flicker of impatience crossed Ewan's face. "I don't need to answer it."

Hailey had arrived at the cinema long ago. Initially, the lobby was crowded, but now she was alone. The movie had started, and everyone had gone inside. When she called Ewan, she received a recorded message: "Sorry, the number you dialed is unavailable. Please call again later."
