Bang!

Adam, still asleep, rolled off the bed and woke with a jolt when he hit the floor. He'd never imagined being kicked off a bed. He glared sternly at Hailey.

“Hailey, what are you doing?”

Hailey put her hands on her hips. “Adam, you’re divorced from Celine. Who gave you the right to hold her while she slept?”

Adam, still groggy and displeased, froze. Did he fall asleep holding Celine?

“You had your arms around her shoulders, holding her close! I won’t allow it! If you want to hold someone, go find Carly. There are other men who will hold Celine while she sleeps!”

Adam’s breathing hitched. He yelled, “Shut up!”

The commotion woke Celine. She sat up, rubbing her sleepy eyes. “Hailey, Mr. Alvarez, are you awake?”

Adam glanced at Celine. She was unaware of the incident, her pale skin flushed with a healthy blush. Her eyes were confused and droopy as she looked at him innocently.

It was her fault! She’d rolled into his embrace last night. He hadn’t actively pulled her close before falling asleep, but he had held her once he was out. Hailey had witnessed this and kicked him off the bed. Celine, however, remained oblivious. Adam coldly regarded her innocent demeanor before entering the bathroom.

He splashed cold water on his face. He could hear the two women talking outside.

Celine was confused. “What’s wrong with Mr. Alvarez? It’s so early, and he’s already angry?”

Hailey replied, “I don’t know. He must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed.”

Celine chuckled. “Well, at least he’s rich. If he wants to buy a hundred beds to get up on the wrong side of, who are we to stop him?”

The two women giggled. Adam could only bite his tongue. He was furious.

He dropped Celine and Hailey off at the entrance of Yorhine University before leaving. They weren't upset; in fact, they entered the university in good spirits.

Many people were gathered around the basketball court. Ewan was playing basketball. The six-foot-tall, handsome young man dodged his opponent, leaped, and dunked the ball. The surrounding fans shrieked; one could almost see the pink hearts in their eyes.

Melody ran up and offered him a water bottle.

“Thanks, Melody,” Ewan said, opening the bottle and drinking.

Their classmates crowded around. “What’s going on, Ewan? Is Melody your girlfriend now? You’ve never accepted water from other girls. Why did you take hers?”

“So many people targeted Melody, and now you’re together? You’re smooth, Ewan!”

“Ewan and Melody look great together! They’re perfect!”

“Congratulations!”

“You should be a couple!”

Everyone cheered, surrounding Ewan and Melody. Someone pushed Melody, and she fell into Ewan’s arms.
