Chapter 297: Yeringham

"Are we really leaving without avenging Mr. Tyrion, Mr. Whitaker?" one of Kane's associates asked as they departed the Glamor Hotel.

"Of course, I'll avenge him! I don't know what this brat thinks he's doing, having so much protection in Horington. Since we can't touch him here, we'll wait until he leaves the city. I want you all to stay and keep a close watch. Call me the moment he departs!" Kane instructed, a sinister expression on his face.

"Yes, sir," the associates replied, nodding.

Thus, the incident with Tyrion's broken leg reached a temporary stalemate. Kane ceased his attempts to confront Jared in Horington, and Francis's associates had yet to appear. Whether this was due to Francis's death being unknown to them, or a lack of intention to retaliate, remained unclear.

Jared used this time to produce more revitalizing pills. With William's assistance, their value increased steadily with growing demand. He also visited Lagrange Monastery, aiding in the absorption of Erasmus's daughter's frosty energy. This significantly boosted his spiritual energy, furthering his pill production.

His wealth having grown substantially, he decided to visit Yeringham to acquire rare medicinal herbs. Unfamiliar with the city, he enlisted Tommy's help. Besides his familiarity with Yeringham, Tommy provided additional security.

After making his travel plans, Jared visited the Sullivan residence to bid farewell; his trip to Yeringham would be extended.

"What? You're going to Yeringham? Take me with you!" Josephine exclaimed excitedly.

She had largely recovered from the kidnapping, and her relationship with Jared had significantly improved.

"You shouldn't come. There might be considerable danger," Jared said, knowing Kane wouldn't easily abandon his revenge. Kane was simply biding his time.

"I don't care! I'm going!" Josephine insisted.

William smiled and left, deeming it inappropriate to witness their bickering.

Seeing her determination, Jared sighed and nodded in agreement. The thought of them sharing a room sparked a mischievous grin.

Josephine knocked him on the head. "Don't get any ideas. Even if we're traveling together, we'll have separate rooms. You're not taking advantage of me."

"More like you're the one who wants to take advantage of me. The thought of you in the same room makes me upset!" Jared retorted playfully.

"You!" Josephine fumed. "I'll kill you!"

They playfully bickered like a couple deeply in love.

The next day, Tommy drove them to Yeringham, with Jared and Josephine in the back.

"Once we arrive, I'll show you lots of fun places! It's been a while," Josephine said excitedly.

Jared looked at her, confused. "You're familiar with Yeringham?"

"Of course! I lived there as a child. My aunt lives there, and I often visited. It's been years," Josephine said sadly.
