Chapter 372: Matchmaking

Lizbeth, anxious, explained to Josephine, "Josephine, I was worried the Jantz family might come after Jared, so I asked him to stay at my place. He's been sleeping on the couch."

Noticing Lizbeth's nervousness, Josephine smiled. "Lizbeth, there's no need to explain. I trust you both!"

Lizbeth felt embarrassed.

Jared asked Josephine, "Did you come here alone? Wasn't it dangerous?"

"Tommy brought me," she replied. "He parked the car and should be here soon."

Tommy arrived just then. He greeted Jared humbly, "Mr. Chance."

Jared asked with concern, "How are you feeling?"

"Fine! Better than before!" Tommy laughed.

Lizbeth invited them to the table. "Come in. I've cooked extra dishes!"

After eating, the women went shoppingโ€”a favorite pastime.

Meanwhile, Jared took Tommy to the Phoenix Regiment, intending to introduce his subordinates.

On the way, Tommy asked in shock, "My Lord, you mean the Phoenix Regiment belongs to the Dragon Sect, too?"

Jared nodded firmly. "That's right. Phoenix recognized my Dragon Ring."

"I didn't expect the biggest gang in Summerbank is one of ours! You have nothing to fear here!" Tommy was startled and awestruck.

At the Phoenix Regiment, Phoenix greeted Jared. She was momentarily stunned to see Tommy, but quickly recovered, smiling and nodding at him. Tommy was equally stunned by her smile.

Phoenix extended her hand. "Hello, I'm Phoenix."

Tommy's face flushed as he shook her hand nervously. "I'm Tommy."

Phoenix flattered him, "Mr. Lewis, your reputation as Horington's underground king precedes you."

"Thank you," Tommy replied. Though a skilled elite, he paled in comparison to Phoenix's strength and influence.

After chatting, Phoenix led them to a secret room. "My Lord, the Warriors Alliance is holding an arena match tomorrow. Since the Jantz family opposes you, I intend to kill Zachariah in the match!"

Jared questioned, "Are you confident?"

"Yes!" Phoenix nodded. "My strength is now on par with an Internal Energy Grandmaster. I've been hiding my power!"

Jared nodded. "Then you have my full support. Can I watch?"

"Of course, My Lord!"

After about half an hour, Jared and Tommy left.

On their way home, Jared smiled and asked Tommy, "What do you think of Phoenix?"

Tommy, driving, replied casually, "She's not bad. Good-looking and strong."

Jared said, "Then I'll try to match you two." He'd noticed Tommy's admiring glances.

Tommy muttered dejectedly, "My Lord, that's inappropriate. Our strength levels are vastly different."

Jared reassured him, "Don't worry! Leave it to me!" He leaned back to rest.
