Chapter 132

Bruce stood up and walked to the dining table. "Mommy, I want to eat too!"

When Joanna heard Davian, she realized he hadn't returned to his room. "Davian, why haven't you gone to bed yet?"

"I'm hungry too. Mommy, I want some noodles too," Davian replied.

"Be good. It's late. Hurry and go to sleep. It's hard on your stomach to eat so much at night!" Davian pointed at Bruce. "Then why can he eat?"

"He's an adult," Joanna explained.

Davian pouted. "Mommy, but I'm hungry and can't sleep!"

Joanna sighed. "Fine. Mommy will cook another bowl for you!"

The situation grew more chaotic. Irvin craved dumplings, Bruce wanted noodles, and now Davian wanted noodles too. "No, I want to eat from his bowl!" Davian pointed at Bruce's noodles. He was clearly trying to take Bruce's noodles.

Joanna frowned. "You won't finish such a big bowl!"

"I can eat it all!"

Joanna looked at Davian helplessly, then turned to Bruce. "Wait a moment. I'll make you a bowl!"

"Fine! Whatever," Bruce replied resentfully. He couldn't take food from a child.

Joanna gave Davian a bowl. "Eat this and go to bed early!"

"Okay!" Davian climbed onto the table and began eating, looking smugly at Bruce.

Bruce sat at the other end of the table. He wasn't angry; he found Davian's behavior reminiscent of his own childhood. "You still haven't told me where your father is."

"Hmph!" Davian pouted. "My father is the most powerful person in the world! A hundred times more powerful than you! And richer!"

"Then where is he?" Bruce asked, raising an eyebrow.

"How can I tell you? What if you steal my father?"

Bruce was speechless. He wasn't that desperate to be someone's son.

"In short, my father is amazing! If you dare bully me again, he'll settle the score with you!"

Bruce chuckled. "Alright, I'll be waiting for your father!"

"Or maybe I'm your father!"

Davian's face darkened. "No, I'm your father!"

Bruce choked with anger. "You have a foul mouth! If you weren't so young, I'd slap you silly!"

"Don't run. I'll slap you silly when I grow up!"

They began arguing loudly. Joanna frowned from the kitchen. They really did sound like father and son.

Finally, Joanna stormed out. "Davian, who taught you to be so rude? Who said you could scold others like that?"

Davian hung his head. (The sentence about searching FindNovel.net is irrelevant to the story and should be removed.)

Bruce was furious. A child had just scolded him, and he felt utterly defeated.

Joanna said, "Bruce, I'm impressed. You can even argue with a child!"

Bruce was speechless with anger.

"The noodles are ready!" Joanna announced.

"I'm not eating anymore. I'm too angry!" Bruce snapped.

"Forget it then!" Joanna's patience had evaporated. She put the dumplings away. After a brief conversation with Miranda, she grabbed her bag to leave.

Bruce was even angrier. He realized she was angry at him and decided not to argue.

He drove Joanna to the hospital, fuming. They passed a bar. Some young men were with a girl in a short skirt.

Bruce glanced at her. "Who's that woman? Does she look like Roxanne?"

Joanna looked. "Why would she be there? She's always been a good girl."

Bruce took a closer look. "She looks like Roxanne. Why is she at a bar? With those guys? And she looks drunk"

"Wait here. I'll go take a look!" Bruce worried; he'd teased Roxanne earlier.

Joanna's face darkened. She opened the car door. "Bruce, go with your girlfriend. I'll take a taxi."

"Joanna!" Bruce locked the car doors. "I just said I wanted to look, not leave you!"

The light turned green. Bruce sped off.
