When Skylar returned to Galaxy Villa, Joe was not yet home. Just as she was about to go upstairs to change, she received a call from him.

"Are you free?" he asked.

"I just got home," she replied.

"Grandma just called and asked for your help. Do you have time to visit her?" Joe asked warmly.

Skylar readily agreed. "Of course. Pearlhall Residence, right? I'll drive there now."

"I've sent Paul to pick you up. You don't have to drive. Just rest in the car."

"Okay."

After getting into the car, Paul was initially silent, hesitant to speak. Joe had made it clear that Skylar needed to rest; he would be furious if Paul's chatter prevented her from sleeping. However, Paul felt uncomfortable remaining silent.

"Mr. Ziegler, do you have something to say?" Skylar asked, noticing Paul glancing at her through the rearview mirror.

Paul immediately began speaking. "Ms. Sullivan, do you remember Marcus Lennon?"

"Yes," she replied. "What happened to him?"

"Since he got AIDS, many people around him have been checked. Several of his recent girlfriends have also tested positive."

"Before this, the Lennons had been grooming Marcus to be their heir. He was often reckless, arrogant, and bossy. Of course, he wouldn't dare to act that way toward Mr. Martin. I used to have several college classmates who worked for the Lennons, but he secretly framed them."

Paul seemed unsure of what he was saying, but after seeing Skylar, he felt compelled to explain everything clearly.

"Well, how is he now?" Skylar asked.

"The Lennons have shunned him, and Mr. Martin isn't close to him either. He only knew Marcus because of Mr. Jakeman. When Mr. Martin and I were on a business trip, you called to warn us. If he had been in the car with us, we would have been in trouble." Paul clearly trusted Skylar implicitly. He would never touch anything she wouldn't allow. "Later, we discovered that the thumb ring he wore had been a gift from his uncle a year prior. When I saw it, I felt uneasy. It looked authentic and nice, but I felt a sense of unease."

"I can't believe it's negative energy! I wonder if we would have been in danger if we'd shared a car with him that day, or met him often." He was particularly curious about this.

"Yes, you would have been. Those who've been around him in the past year will be affected, to varying degrees. However, the thumb ring's negative energy is stronger. If you've had prolonged contact with him, your life would be in danger," Skylar stated firmly.

Paul gasped. "I was so lucky I posted that Instagram story that day! Otherwise, you wouldn't have seen it."

Skylar chuckled. "That was fate. Since I saw your post, it means you're a blessed person. You've been tricked and unlucky before, but you'll be safe this year."

"If I hadn't met you, I could have been even more unlucky. It's all thanks to you! By the way, you said everyone close to Marcus recently would be affected. You were right! Ethan and Lukas often met with Marcus. They suffered heavy losses on various contracts. Even Mr. Jakeman was affected, but not as severely," Paul said.
