Chapter 345

Security arrived swiftly, just as Christopher was about to lose his temper. Seeing a hotel employee yelling at a guest, they were visibly shaken.

Skylar said coldly, “I expect a satisfactory explanation. How did someone like this pass the evaluation? I will be filing a police report.”

Manager Dave Dalton, who had accompanied security, nervously wiped his brow. He apologized humbly, "I sincerely apologize for our negligence. This man is not a staff member. I will call the police immediately. Please give us a chance to make amends."

Christopher's face reddened with anger. "You're calling the police? You're humiliating me! Do you hate me?"

"Hate" couldn't begin to describe Skylar's feelings toward Christopher, Maisy, and the others. Her eyes were icy, filled with painful memories.

A deep, imposing male voice asked, "What's going on?"

All eyes turned to Joe, who was wearing glasses—a rare sight that softened the sternness in his eyes, revealing an aloof yet intellectual demeanor. Even unintentionally imposing individuals can intimidate with a mere glance.

Upon seeing Joe, Christopher cried out in despair, "Let Skylar go, Joe! She's my girlfriend. There are plenty of women you could choose from. Why steal my girlfriend?"

The hotel staff held their breath, avoiding Joe's gaze. Two security guards firmly restrained Christopher.

Joe looked at Christopher with disdain, then at Skylar. Satisfied she was unharmed, he turned to Dave. "I want an explanation after you handle this."

Dave paled. "Yes, sir! Don't worry, Mr. Martin. I will take immediate action."

Christopher, enraged, blurted out, "You, Joe Martin, you flaunt your family's wealth to manipulate women! If it weren't for your family name, do you think Skylar would sleep with you? She likes me; she's just being fooled!"

Joe looked down at him condescendingly. "Remove him," he said icily.

The security guards roughly dragged Christopher into the elevator, even silencing him with a hand over his mouth.
