Chapter 432

Jeffrey remained unmoved, despite Peter's attempts to dissuade him. As soon as they left Pearlhall Residence, Joe learned of their actions. Informed that Jeffrey and his son had recklessly disturbed Gloria, Joe lit a cigarette and exhaled a cloud of black smoke. He then called Jacky, instructing him, "Give the police the evidence detailing the Williams family's crimes."

Jeffrey was oblivious to the consequences he'd invited. He'd acted recklessly for too long, forgetting the sting of failure. When he arrived at Martin Group and was again denied entry, embarrassment morphed into rage.

"Let me in! Do you hear me? Let me in now! I want to see your boss. Don't you know who I am? I'm Mr. Martin's girlfriend's father. If you refuse me entry, I'll ensure Mr. Martin makes you pay!"

Peter, standing beside him, shuddered at the unfolding scene. From the outset, trouble seemed to follow them.

"Mr. Martin's girlfriend? He doesn't have one. Where did this madman come from? Your attempt to ingratiate yourself with Mr. Martin is pathetic. How shameless!"

The head of security roared, "Get lost!" He refused to tolerate Jeffrey's nonsense.

Jeffrey exploded. "Call him if you don't believe me!"

The guard, having received explicit instructions that admitting the two would result in his immediate dismissal, barked, "Stop this now! I can't afford to lose this job. I have a family to feed." Jeffrey and Peter, exhausted from several all-nighters, were easily shoved aside. They couldn't even approach the building.

Jeffrey's face burned with anger. Feeling on the verge of collapse, he declared, "I've never been so humiliated since coming to Jipsburg City! Joe, believe it or not, I can prevent Skylar from being with you. I'm her father. She has to listen to me!"

Peter froze. A few months prior, those words might have held weight. However, Skylar had drawn a firm line, separating herself from them. Peter realized Skylar no longer considered them family.

Chapter 432

Reflecting on their past, Peter saw that the Williamses had never truly considered Skylar family either. Even the most foolish person would have severed ties with them. How could they expect Skylar to continue obeying them? Did she deserve to sacrifice everything for them? What had they ever done for her?

The more Peter thought, the paler he became.

What followed was shocking. A call came from Williams Group stating that the police were at their offices. When employees inquired about the police's presence, they received no explanation, only a request to contact Jeffrey immediately.

Jeffrey abandoned his plans for revenge. He and Peter rushed back to the company, initially believing someone had filed a false report to exacerbate the Williamses' suffering. Jeffrey initially dismissed it, but Peter remained pale.

Upon meeting the police and hearing their explanation, Jeffrey lost his composure.
