"We're doing fine, Mom. So much has happened. We can't rush this. We need to take things slowly and minimize the damage to our relationship. Don't worry, Mom," she said, hanging up.

Her appetite vanished as she stared at her untouched lunchbox. She and Jeremy maintained a polite distance, a strange familiarity tinged with unfamiliarity. Even during dinner, silence reigned.

Natalie knew Jeremy awaited her initiative, but their problems were too profound for quick solutions. As days passed, helplessness intensified. She subconsciously resisted any physical contact, flinching at the slightest touch. Even attempting to control her reaction left her rigid.

Jeremy, perceptive as he was, noticed her avoidance and didn't pressure her. Yet, every approach brought Annabelle and the video flooding back.

"Don't you like your lunch?" Austin's question broke through her thoughts.

Natalie glanced at the nearly untouched box. "I think I overate this morning. I'm not hungry now," she explained.

The catering was usually excellent, but her appetite had disappeared, a pity considering the waste.

Austin offered no comment on the untouched food. "Then don't force yourself. Order takeout later if you get hungry," he suggested.

"Okay!" Natalie replied, nodding.

Austin looked at her intently before returning to filming.

Hank approached softly. "Nath, is something troubling you? You seem… distracted."

Since Austin couldn't ask, Hank would. It could be construed as monitoring employee well-being.

Natalie was startled. "Is it that obvious?"

"Sort of. I see you every day. You've changed since returning to work a few days ago. What's bothering you?"

After a pause, Natalie replied, "I've encountered some problems. A difficult decision needs to be made. But don't worry, Hank. It won't affect my work."

"Of course," Hank reassured her, inwardly worrying about Austin instead.

But what decision? Divorce Jeremy? Hank couldn't ask.
