Chapter 238
Miles raised an eyebrow. "Is that what you think of me? That I'm irresponsible?"
Claire grinned. "I just thought you might be busy with work, Miles. Come on, let's go."
Miles smiled and sent a quick message to his assistant to cancel the meeting.
"Sienna, Amber, we're here, too," Claire called out as she walked over.
"Miss Enna, what a coincidence," Miles greeted.
"Hi, Mr. Quinn," Sienna said.
Miles slowly took off his coat, glancing sideways to notice how Siennaโs long lashes fluttered in the sunlight. Her eyes were cool and mesmerizing.
"We're friends now, aren't we? Always calling me Mr. Quinn is way too formal. If you don't mind, just call me Miles," Miles said.
Sienna smiled politely, "Alright, Miles."
"Miss Hart, have you always been into archery?" Miles asked.
Her form was spot on. Today, she wasnโt in a dressโjust a white T-shirt and jeans, looking very young and energetic. Her proportions were nearly perfect, giving her a fresh and pretty vibe.
Sienna tilted her head at him and replied, "Just a hobby of mine."
Claire and Amber were sitting with two big cups of coffee, eyes fixed on the scene in front of them, not missing a single moment.
Each parent only had one chance to shoot, but if they hit the target, they got to keep going.
Most families only managed to take home one or two gold medals, and the best anyone had ever done was five, but every time, the crowd went wild.
Sienna hit the target on her first try.
"Go, Sienna!" Amber shouted, her excitement bubbling over.
"Sienna, you got this," Claire cheered, then rolled her eyes at Miles.
Miles glanced at his sister, who was clearly unimpressed, and then hit the target with his arrow.
"Miles, you're pretty good too," Claire said half-heartedly.
Miles couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"Miles, how about a little competition? Let's see who can rack up more gold medals," Sienna said, feeling fired up and in the mood for a challenge.
A bright, spring-like smile blossomed on Milesโs face. "Alright, you're on."
His glasses were the finishing touch, giving him an air of scholarly elegance. The black sleeves of his shirt were rolled up, showing off his strong arms.
"Min Hart, I forgot to tell you. Iโve actually won shooting trophies abroad before,โ Miles said.
โOh, really?โ Sienna smiled, a teasing curve to her lips and a spark of allure in her eyes. Her figure might look delicate, but her arms were surprisingly strong, radiating a bold, heroic confidence.
Her high ponytail cascaded like a waterfall, shoulders straight and proud.
When she drew the bow, her form was flawlessโtwo arrows flew at once, streaking through the air like shooting stars. Both gold medals dropped at the exact same moment.
"Whoa." The crowd erupted in amazement.
Milesโs eyes snapped into focus, clearly stunned by what he saw.
She actually pulled off a double shot, both arrows hitting the gold right on target.
โMiss Hart, I really underestimated you. Guess I just embarrassed myself. Youโre incredible,โ Miles said.
โNot as sharp as you, but letโs keep going,โ Sienna shot back with a smile.
Maybe it was just that she was in such a great mood today, but Sienna was totally in the zone; her interest was fully sparked. Every time, she let loose two arrows at once, and the gold medals just kept dropping.
Miles wasnโt about to let her take the lead. He matched her shot for shot, quickly evening up the medal count.
She was gorgeous, he was strikingโone in white, one in blackโthey looked like they were made to be rivals on the court. With every draw of the bow, another gold medal fell, and everyone held their breath, unable to look away.
The entire court was theirs now, just the two of them locked in a final, high-stakes showdown.
โMiles, I have to say, youโve really impressed me," Sienna said, a genuine smile tugging at her lips.
Even though Miles couldnโt pull off the double shot, his aim was spot-on every time. All things considered, he was doing a pretty good job of keeping up with her.
โSienna, youโre honestly the most impressive archer Iโve ever met. There are still ten gold medals left. Letโs see who can hit the most,โ Miles said.
