Chapter 265
Just as Finn was trying to figure out how to escape, a group of men in uniforms approached. "What are you guys doing?"
"Mind your own business and get lost," the leader snapped impatiently.
"Sir, please come with us," said the middle-aged man in a neat uniform as he stepped up to Finn Eaton, making a polite gesture toward the elevator.
Finn frowned. "Where are you taking me?"
"Sir, you might not know this, but youโve just been bought at auction for twenty million by one of our VIP guests. Sorry for the earlier mix-up, but we need you to return to your room right away."
Finn froze for a moment when he heard the price in disbelief. But right now, going back with these people was his best option.
"Hands off, youโre not taking him. Heโs the one weโre after," the man in black warned.
But theyโd barely moved when the men in uniforms whipped out their weapons in a flash, aiming straight at them. "Are you looking for trouble here? Donโt you know whose turf this is?"
The man in black blanched, fear written all over his face as he instinctively backed away.
"We can pay you twenty million too. Just transfer the money to the VIP, and this guy is coming with us," the man tried to bargain.
"You think we care about your twenty million? He was bought by a VIPโwhether he lives or dies is up to them now. Whatever beef you have with him, once someoneโs been auctioned off here, theyโre our property. Now beat it."
Seeing there was no way to turn things around, the men had no choice but to retreat and report back.
Finn never thought heโd actually get sold off at an auction house and for twenty million. The whole thing felt unreal, like some twisted joke.
"Letโs go, weโll take you back."
Finn followed them upstairs. The men kept sneaking glances at himโhe really was something to look at. He had the quiet elegance of jade shaped by time, calm and reserved, with a gentle, noble air. There was a natural grace and poise about him, almost otherworldly, elegant yet strong.
Back in the room, Finn asked if he could use a phone to make a call, but everyone ignored him. Left with no other option, he just sat quietly in the chair, waiting for that so-called VIP to show up. Once he met the VIP, heโd make it clear who he wasโeven if he had to pay double, heโd do whatever it took to get out of here.
Sienna finished handling the situation and made her way back to the room. Just as she reached for the door, she suddenly hesitated, her hand hovering in the air. She drew in a deep breath. Finally she pushed the door open and stepped inside.
Finn was standing by the window when the sound of the door startled him. He whipped around, completely speechless as he stared at the woman in utter disbelief. He didnโt dare blink, afraid sheโd vanish.
"Finn Eaton, long time no see."
Hearing that cool, familiar voice, Finn felt his heart turn into a stormy sea, waves crashing wildly inside him. For a split second, he wondered if heโd been killed by his own men and was meeting her again in another world. But when her familiar scent washed over him, he finally believed. She was really here.
Finn whispered her name, his voice barely above a breath, and reached out, pulling her into his arms. He held her tightly, as if afraid she might disappear. "Youโre back!"
Sienna nestled into his embrace. In that moment, their hearts felt impossibly close. Finn gently stroked her hair, pressing her tenderly against his chest, as if wanting to keep her there forever.
