Chapter 290

Without hesitation, Winifred stuck out her leg and kicked Thom away. โ€œWhat the hell do you think youโ€™re doing?โ€ she snapped, her voice icy.

โ€˜Who does this guy think he is, trying to get all up in Siennaโ€™s space? Seriously, some people just donโ€™t know their place,โ€™ Winifred thought, fuming.

The kick sent Thorn stumbling backward. Feeling the wound on his chest throb, he shut his eyes and instantly faked a blackout.

Winifred blinked in disbelief. Seriously? No way. โ€˜Is this guy really that fragile?โ€™ she thought, dumbfounded.

Sheโ€™d totally held back with that kick. Winifred frowned. โ€˜Sienna, heโ€”โ€™

Sienna just shot him a cool, disinterested glance, her voice laced with disdain. โ€œLooks like heโ€™s hopeless. Toss him out. I donโ€™t want him dying in our house.โ€

โ€œHeyโ€”โ€ Thorn sprang up at her words, waving his hands in a panic. โ€œIโ€™m good. Just got the wind knocked out of me for a sec.โ€

As he spoke, Thorn got up and scooted right over to Sienna.

Sienna paid Thorn no mind and took a seat on the couch.

Thorn immediately plopped down next to her, pointing at Kress with a look of righteous indignation. โ€œItโ€™s all his fault. If Kress hadnโ€™t stuck his foot out and tripped me, I wouldnโ€™t have fallen toward you, and Winifred wouldnโ€™t have kicked me.

โ€œUh, Sienna, last time, when I saved Mr. Ford, I didnโ€™t think much of it, but now my chest really hurts. Do you want to check it out?โ€

Kress just stood there, speechless. โ€˜Heโ€™s really lying through his teeth,โ€™ he thought.

Winifred was equally stunned. โ€˜Wow, is this guy the ultimate drama queen or what?โ€™ she wondered.

Sienna slapped his hand away, sounding annoyed. โ€œWhat are you doing here?โ€

Thorn wasnโ€™t fazed by her icy attitude at all. He just cocked his head and shot Kress a provocative glance.

โ€œSienna, youโ€™re so heartless. How can you just use me and toss me aside? Did you forget? Last time, in that room, we really got to know each other,โ€ he teased, his tone full of mischief.

Sienna fixed him with a deadpan stare, her eyes cold and razor-sharp. โ€œAre you looking to die?โ€

Thorn instantly shut up and turned to the servant. โ€œBring me some water.โ€

โ€œHi, Sienna?โ€ Before anyone appeared, a voice rang out. Josef walked in, carrying a bag. โ€œSienna, youโ€™re here. My dad asked me to bring this for you. Itโ€™s all food.โ€

Josef flashed a toothy smile, spotting Thorn and a beautiful woman with long blue hair. The other person he recognized was Winifred.

โ€œThanks,โ€ Sienna said, taking the bag and handing it to Ebert. Josef turned to Winifred and greeted her with a friendly smile. โ€œHey, Winifred. Iโ€™m Josef.โ€

Winifred just nodded, her attitude distant.

โ€œSienna, is he your boyfriend?โ€ Josef asked, curiosity written all over his face. Just one look at Thorn and one could tell he was some flashy, rich playboy from overseas, handsome and a bit flamboyant.

Thorn lit up at the question. He immediately stood up and reached out to shake Josefโ€™s hand. โ€œIโ€™mโ€”โ€

However, before he could finish, Sienna cut him off. โ€œNo, heโ€™s not.โ€

Josef nodded. โ€œThen that must mean this pretty ladyโ€™s boyfriend, right?โ€

โ€˜Pretty lady? Who?โ€™ they wondered. Everyone froze for a second, and it took Kress a moment to realize Josef was talking about him.

Kressโ€™s eyes went wide, and he jumped up, fuming. โ€œWho are you calling a pretty lady?โ€

Realizing it was a guy talking, Josef froze for a couple of seconds, then gave an awkward laugh and quickly apologized. โ€œUh, my bad. I messed up. Sorry.โ€

Kress was about to blow a fuse, but since the guy was Siennaโ€™s cousin and seemed genuinely sorry, he couldnโ€™t really make a fuss without looking petty.

โ€œNext time, pay more attention,โ€ Kress grumbled, still fuming.

Winifred couldnโ€™t help but tease, โ€œHey, pretty lady, mind moving over a bit?โ€
