Chapter 46

Linda was in high spirits, humming a cheerful tune as she watered the flowers. Jocelyn would be home soon. Linda thought, "Sienna, you wonโ€™t be able to act so arrogant for long. Your good days are about to come to an end. Donโ€™t worry. Iโ€™ll get rid of you and Vivian for good. Youโ€™ll never set foot in this house again, and youโ€™ll learn the price of crossing me!"

As Sienna walked past, she shot her a glacial, indifferent glance. Linda turned pale with fright. The tool slipped from her grasp, hitting the ground before landing painfully on her foot. Sienna said nothing, indifferently looking away. Linda gritted her teeth. "Damn bitch. She did it on purpose just to scare me," she thought. "She meant every bit of it."

Lana placed the documents sheโ€™d found on Siennaโ€™s desk. As she watched Sienna pick them up, she felt nervous. "I hope Miss Enna doesnโ€™t get mad after reading this," she thought.

Siennaโ€™s gaze darkened as she scanned every word on the document. "Jocelyn," she thought. "When L left, Amber wasnโ€™t even right. A decade has passed."

โ€œLana, this information is far from complete,โ€ Sienna said with a slight frown.

Lana immediately bowed and explained nervously, โ€œMiss Enna, itโ€™s my fault. Since Miss Amber has been staying with Jocelyn all this time, many details wereโ€ฆโ€

Sienna set down the documents. โ€œAnd the other one?โ€

โ€œMiss Enna, regarding Miss Winifredโ€“โ€ Lana answered, trembling. Before she could finish, a knock came at the door.

It was Reno Lynch. โ€œMiss Enna, emergency. Miss Vivian is in trouble.โ€

Sienna shot up from her seat and strode out. โ€œWhatโ€™s going on?โ€ she demanded.

Reno reported anxiously. โ€œAnya took Miss Vivian to a business conference. Everything was fine, but on the way back, something must have triggered Miss Vivian. She bit Anya. Now sheโ€™s in the hospital in critical condition.โ€

Sienna immediately called Jason and rushed to the hospital. Jason was already waiting outside the ward when she arrived.

Just as Sienna was about to enter, Jason stopped her. โ€œEnna, Vivian is not doing well. Please be careful when you go in.โ€

Sienna nodded and opened the door. There, in the corner, sat a disheveled girl with unkempt hair, her arms covered in scratches, trembling uncontrollably. At the mere sight, Siennaโ€™s eyes welled up with tears. This was the same sister who had once been so proud and vivacious.

โ€œStay away!โ€ Just as Sienna moved closer, Vivian lashed out, flailing her arms wildly in panic.

Jason grabbed Siennaโ€™s arm. โ€œWait. I need to talk to you.โ€

Sienna turned to Lana and Reno. โ€œKeep a close eye on Vivian. Donโ€™t let her harm herself.โ€

โ€œYes, Miss Enna,โ€ they nodded.

Once outside, Jason removed his glasses, wiped them clean, and put them back on. Sienna grew impatient and snapped coldly, โ€œStop wasting my time.โ€

Jason felt awkward. Sienna had seen right through him.

โ€œEnna, when I conducted her psychological evaluation earlier, I could tell she was deliberately hiding something. Given her current condition, Iโ€™m now almost certain what that was,โ€ he said.

โ€œSpeak,โ€ Sienna demanded.

Jason took a deep breath and uttered, โ€œSexual assault.โ€

Siennaโ€™s ice-cold, ruthless gaze faltered at those words. Her pupils contracted sharply as she stared at Jason in stunned silence.

Jason instinctively recoiled. Ennaโ€™s presence was as chilling as ever.

Sienna demanded sharply, โ€œChances?โ€

Jason replied. โ€œOne hundred percent.โ€

Sienna closed her eyes briefly. When she opened them again, she strode into the ward without hesitation. Jason stood by the door, sedative at the ready just in case.

Vivianโ€™s eyes were hollow, brimming with boundless terror. She tried to claw at herself again, but Reno and Lana swiftly intercepted her. Both were highly trained. When Vivian lunged at them, snapping and trying to bite, they dodged with practiced ease.
