Chapter 48

Amber sat quietly in the car. When she saw Jocelyn chuckle, she asked curiously, โ€œJocelyn, whatโ€™s got you so happy?โ€

Jocelyn smiled smugly at Amber, mischief dancing in her eyes. โ€œOh, itโ€™s nothing. Just ran into something amusing. Weโ€™re almost home. Excited?โ€

Amber lowered her head, sounding sulky. โ€œIโ€™m not excited. I donโ€™t want to see Vivian. Didnโ€™t Dad kick her out? She said sheโ€™d never come back. So why is she back! What a nuisance.โ€

Jocelyn ruffled Amberโ€™s hair, raising an eyebrow with a smug smile. โ€œDonโ€™t worry. She wonโ€™t be staying much longer.โ€

Amberโ€™s eyes lit up as she turned to Jocelyn, excitement shining in her gaze. โ€œReally? Sheโ€™s really leaving soon!โ€

Jocelynโ€™s eyes gleamed with quiet confidence. โ€œYes, unless something unexpected happensโ€ฆโ€

Iโ€™ve prepared a special surprise just for Vivian, Jocelyn thought smugly. For a moment, I was even worried she wouldnโ€™t be home to enjoy it.

Amber only half-understood Jocelynโ€™s words, her face a picture of confusion.

Sienna led Lana and Reno into a shop on Weststreet.

The moment they stepped inside, the foul stench of sweat and tobacco assaulted their senses. The air was thick with smoke, the floor black with grime, flies buzzing everywhere.

At the center stood a table where four or five men were playing cards, while three others chain-smoked nearby.

Sienna was dressed head to toe in black, her hair pulled back tight. Her gaze, sharp as blades and utterly devoid of warmth, swept across the room, taking in every detail with chilling precision.

The three smoking men were the first to notice Sienna. Their eyes widened in shock. Never had they seen such a breathtaking beauty before.

โ€œBoss!โ€ someone yelled.

The head of the group spat impatiently on the floor, his cigarette dangling between his fingers as he idly shuffled the cards. โ€œWhat the hell are you yelling for? You scared away my lucky streak,โ€ he said.

Lana demanded sharply, โ€œWho is Dash?โ€

At the sound of a womanโ€™s voice, the five guys who were playing cards froze mid-game and turned their heads in unison.

The menโ€™s jaws dropped as they gaped at the three stunning women, utterly transfixed.

Reno stepped forward and said, โ€œMiss Erina, let us handle this. You take a break.โ€

Sienna remained silent. Lana and Reno exchanged a glance and strode purposefully toward the men.

One of the men glared at them and barked, โ€œWho the hell are you? Whatโ€™s your business here?โ€

Dash was still ogling the women, a lecherous grin plastered on his face, when Renoโ€™s nunchaku suddenly came and cracked him right on the head.

โ€œShit! Theyโ€™re here to cause trouble.โ€ No sooner had he finished speaking than Lana wrenched his arm back with a sharp twist, snapping it. Instantly, the room erupted in a chorus of agonized screams.

Sienna lowered her gaze, her piercing eyes fixed on her hands. With her black-gloved hand, she drew out an unlit cigarette between her fingers, her composure unshaken.

Reno rushed over and reported, โ€œMiss Erina, itโ€™s done.โ€

Sienna strode forward in her high heels, each step muffled by the grime-caked floor.

All eight men lay battered on the ground, powerless to move. Dash had one eye destroyed, blood streaming relentlessly from the ruined socket.

โ€œWhat exactly did you say to Vivian when you called her?โ€ Sienna said.

Hearing this, Dash instantly realized that they had come here for Vivian. Who the hell are these chicks? How can just a handful of women be this damn strong? he wondered.

Dash said, โ€œI donโ€™t know what youโ€™re talking about.โ€

Siennaโ€™s crimson lips parted slightly as she ordered coldly, โ€œBreak his leg.โ€

Dash had no time to protest before his leg was broken with a brutal crack. His agonized screams faded as his leg was shattered.

The underlings who had just witnessed Dashโ€™s leg being snapped stood frozen in terror, eyes bulging, bodies drenched in cold sweat.

โ€œIโ€™ll talk. I know everything.โ€ The man closest to Dash gritted his teeth and shouted desperately. โ€œThis afternoon, Dash called Vivian and told her about that time we almost raped her.โ€

After saying that, the man glanced at their faces, but all he saw were stone-cold, unreadable expressions.

His heart pounded with terror. Lana kicked him sharply in the ribs and barked, โ€œGo ahead.โ€

Dash caught the guy about to speak. With a vicious snarl, he jerked his head up and slammed it into the man. โ€œShut your damn mouth, idiot. You really think theyโ€™ll let you go just because you talk?โ€

If they ever find out what we did to Vivian, weโ€™re as good as dead, Dash thought in terror.

The air around Sienna grew increasingly frigid, sending an involuntary shiver down Renoโ€™s spine.

โ€œLana,โ€ Sienna said coolly.

Lana produced a vial of crimson liquid and advanced toward them, her sapphire eyes glinting with dangerous intensity under the light, a chilling smile curling her lips.

โ€œRelax. Everyone gets a share. Drink it and youโ€™ll end up in a psychiatric facility,โ€ Lana said.

Dashโ€™s pupils dilated in terror. He desperately tried to scramble backward, but the excruciating pain made even the slightest movement unbearable.

โ€œNo, please, no! Iโ€™ll talk. Iโ€™ll tell you everything,โ€ Dash screamed, his voice trembling with fear.
