Chapter 250: The Impending Drama

At that moment, Calvin and Yannick were sipping drinks in a nearby high-rise building, prepared to enjoy the unfolding drama. Yannick felt Calvin had lost his mind, offending Nathaniel for a woman.

โ€œCalvin, if you keep this up, weโ€™ll have trouble.โ€

Calvin replied, โ€œIs it easy now?โ€

Yannick laughed. Nathaniel had almost cornered Calvin, unaware they were in cahoots. Otherwise, he too would have been blacklisted.

โ€œIโ€™m eager to see Nathaniel fall, but Stella is irritating,โ€ Yannick said. Unlike other men, he owned an entertainment conglomerate and despised female celebrities who sought fame through relationships.

At ten o'clock, the launch ceremony began, drawing a large crowd and extensive media coverage, including live broadcasts. Nathaniel's arrival caused a stir. Stella, upon seeing him, excused herself from the director and approached him, immediately attracting the media's attention.

Trembling slightly, she said, โ€œNathaniel, he might be nearby. Iโ€™m scared. I saw him in the dressing room; behind him was someone who looked like Calvinโ€™s bodyguard.โ€ She never imagined her actions would be so effective.

โ€œIโ€™ve already instructed someone to investigate everyone present,โ€ Nathaniel replied, then glared at the journalists. โ€œGet out of my sight!โ€

The reporters reluctantly moved, but some discreetly live-streamed the event. Meanwhile, Cecilia had secretly led Elliot out of Spring Forest Manor, leaving a letter and two blood test reports for Nathaniel. Feigning rest, she left through the back door, carrying Elliot.

โ€œSweetheart, tell me if anything bothers you,โ€ she said.

โ€œOkay,โ€ Elliot replied, heartbroken. If healthy, he could have run himself.

โ€œWeโ€™ll see Sven soon,โ€ Cecilia said, quickening her pace. Her improved health was fortunate; otherwise, escape would have been difficult.

She found Sven, who quickly took Elliot. Cecilia followed, avoiding cameras, and got into the car.

โ€œThank you,โ€ she said, buckling Elliot in. โ€œLetโ€™s go to the airport.โ€ Time was short; they had to evade Nathaniel's men. Elliot fell asleep on the drive.

Cecilia checked her phone; a message from Nathaniel: โ€œWait for me.โ€ She deleted it, tossed the phone out the window, and opened the spare phone Sven provided. The first thing she saw was the live stream of Stella's ceremony.

The live stream comments included enthusiastic praise for Stella and recognition of Nathanielโ€™s presence. Then, a sarcastic comment appeared: โ€œMale lead in Stella's song? More like the male lead in her plagiarized song!โ€ The commenter was quickly removed.

Cecilia found it amusing, wondering if the fans would remain composed upon Sean's appearance.
