Chapter 320 You Should Just Go Back
โMs. Kennedy, why donโt you ever knock?โ Jonathan asked, his face puffed up in annoyance.
โAh, Iโm sorry. I forgot.โ Vivian stepped forward. โJonjon, do you still remember the promise you made to me?โ
Jonathan sighed. โOf course. You want me to pretend to be your son so you can seek vengeance on your ex-boyfriend. Iโm quite adept at getting back at people. If you need, I can even find you a husband, helping myself find a father in the process.โ
Vivianโs eyes widened. โReally?โ
Jonathan hadnโt expected her to believe him. For her happiness, he reassured her, โOf course, this person will definitely be better than your ex-boyfriend.โ
โHow much will it cost?โ Vivian asked earnestly, imagining a gigolo more handsome than Ernest wouldnโt come cheap. She was surprised by Jonathanโs connections at his age.
โYou donโt need to worry about that. Go to sleep. Good night.โ
Jonathan lay in bed, his head covered with a blanket. Vivian sighed. โMy happiness is in your hands now. Theyโre getting married next week.โ She left, muttering under her breath.
After she left, Jonathan felt troubled. Heโd heard Vivian mention Ernest was very handsome, though heโd never seen him. Considering Vivianโs romantic nature, he assumed Ernest was at least decent-looking. He decided he needed to investigate thoroughly.
In Sparaville, as the cold weather worsened, Marthaโs health declined. Cecilia remained by her side. Martha, however, suddenly craved ravioli from the west side of town.
โAlright, Iโll order takeout,โ Cecilia said, reaching for her phone.
Martha stopped her. โSweetheart, itโll be cold by then. Would you mind getting it for me?โ

Martha rarely made demands, so Cecilia readily agreed. โAlright, Iโll go now. If you need anything, ask Nathaniel,โ she said.
โMmm-hmm,โ Martha replied.
After Cecilia left, the kind smile vanished from Marthaโs face. She looked toward Nathaniel in the kitchen and said coldly, โAfter all this time, you still canโt cook. Mr. Rainsworth, save your energy. Ceci isnโt coming home for dinner today.โ
Nathaniel solemnly switched off his phone. โWhat do you mean?โ
โMr. Rainsworth, you canโt bring her happiness right now. You should just go back,โ she said. If she werenโt physically limited, she would have chased him out with a broom.
Nathaniel approached with a solemn expression. โMy respect for you is only because of Ceci. As the father of her child, I assure you, I will never leave her. As for happiness, if you mean money and power, thereโs no need to worry.โ
Martha wasnโt upset. โYou may not know, but Ceci has liked someone since childhood. Theyโre childhood sweethearts; itโs not something you can compete with.โ
Nathanielโs fist clenched. โIt canโt be. If she loved someone else, why did she marry me?โ
โIf you donโt believe me, go to the ravioli restaurant in the west, but take someone with you. Otherwise, as a blind man, you wonโt be able to see.โ
Martha, always kind, was now unafraid to offend Nathaniel for Ceciliaโs future.
