Chapter 466: Where Is Your Mommy?

In response to his good attitude, Cecilia dropped the subject.

โ€œWhat else did Nicholas say?โ€ Nathaniel asked.

โ€œGuess,โ€ Cecilia teased.

Nathaniel pulled her into his arms, whispering, โ€œNo matter what he says, trust me. Iโ€™ll never hurt you again.โ€

Cecilia was puzzled. Why the โ€œagainโ€?

โ€œMommy, Mr. Rainsworth,โ€ Elliotโ€™s voice echoed, followed by a look of annoyance. He saw Nathaniel making advances on Cecilia.

Hearing Elliot, Cecilia hastily pushed Nathaniel away, her cheeks flushed. Nathaniel, interrupted again, fell into a bad mood.

Elliot walked to Cecilia. โ€œMommy, I want a hug too.โ€

Cecilia lifted him up. Elliot made a face at Nathaniel, unseen by the latter.

โ€œMr. Rainsworth, if you want a hug, go back to your mommy,โ€ Elliot said, amusing Cecilia.

Nathaniel retorted, โ€œDonโ€™t you know you can hold your wife, besides your mother?โ€

Cecilia stealthily pinched his hand. Elliot fumed inwardly. How shameless! he thought.

โ€œMommy, can I sleep with you tonight?โ€

Cecilia couldnโ€™t refuse. โ€œAlright,โ€ she agreed. Nathaniel felt frustrated.

โ€œAre you still a three-year-old child? Why do you need to sleep with your Mommy?โ€ Nathaniel asked. Jonathan, he thought, would be shy about sharing a bed with Cecilia. Elliot, however, clung to Ceciliaโ€™s arm. โ€œEven if I turn a hundred, Iโ€™ll still be Mommyโ€™s darling. I want to sleep with Mommy. Mr. Rainsworth, whereโ€™s your mom? Did she abandon you?โ€

Nathaniel was taken aback. Cecilia was amused.

โ€œMr. Rainsworth is an adult, so naturally, he doesnโ€™t live with his mommy,โ€ she explained.

Elliotโ€™s eyes welled up. โ€œMommy, I donโ€™t want to grow up. If I grow up, Iโ€™ll have to leave you,โ€ he sobbed.

Ceciliaโ€™s heart melted. โ€œDonโ€™t worry, sweetie. Mommy will never leave you.โ€ She understood his insecurity.

โ€œLetโ€™s go to sleep then. Iโ€™m tired.โ€

โ€œAlright.โ€

โ€œMommy, you make the bed. Iโ€™ll be up shortly,โ€ Elliot said.

โ€œAlright.โ€

Upstairs, Cecilia made the bed. Once she left, Elliotโ€™s true nature emerged. He looked at Nathaniel smugly. โ€œNathaniel, itโ€™s too early for you to compete with me.โ€

Nathaniel pulled Elliot back, hoisting him up. Elliot panicked.

โ€œMrโ€ฆ Mr. Nathaniel, letโ€™s talk calmly. No need for violence.โ€

Nathaniel realized Elliot, while seeming sensitive, was actually shameless.

โ€œRepeat what you just said,โ€ Nathaniel demanded coldly.

Elliot threatened, โ€œIf I cry and say you hit me, who do you think Mommy will choose, you or her son?โ€

It was obvious. Nathaniel put him down. Elliot saw Nathanielโ€™s genuine fear of upsetting Cecilia. Does this scumbag daddy truly love Mommy? he wondered.
