“Eli and Jon share a parent-child relationship. All three test reports confirm this,” Mason said quietly to Nathaniel.
Nathaniel, initially calm, was stunned. Cecilia had vanished with his children for five years! He remained silent, leaving the others to berate Cecilia and Elliot. Then, he instructed Mason, “Bring out the paternity tests.”
The announcement stunned everyone, including Cecilia. She hadn't expected Nathaniel to pursue testing now, after all this time. Niel and Elena quickly examined the results, revealing a ninety-nine percent match. Elena exclaimed, beaming, “Eli is a Rainsworth!”
Adrian and Miranda were incredulous. “The timelines don’t match! Could the report be forged?”
Mason explained, “I used three separate institutions. The likelihood of tampering is extremely low.”
“Who can be sure? She vanished for five years; she could have falsified a test,” countered Adrian, mockingly suggesting Nathaniel faked the results to avoid being cuckolded. Elena, too, initially doubted the tests.
Then, a call arrived. It was Elena’s assistant, confirming another positive paternity test result. Elena declared, “You doubt Nathaniel’s tests, but what about mine? I wouldn’t casually acknowledge a random person as my grandchild.” She shared the digital report, silencing Adrian and Miranda.
Nicholas stood nearby, his emotions evident. Niel scolded Adrian and Miranda for their doubts, noting the four confirming paternity tests. Miranda remained defiant, focusing on Felix's near-fatal incident.
Niel, considering Cecilia's account, summoned Felix's bodyguard and driver. Their testimonies corroborated Cecilia's story. The driver revealed he'd taken Felix to Daltonia Villa only after receiving Miranda's permission.
Elena confronted Miranda, “So, you planned to harm Eli?”
Miranda struggled to respond. Elena warned, “If anything happens to Eli, I won’t let you off the hook!”
Just as Niel was about to rebuke Miranda, the emergency room door opened. The doctor emerged, asking, “Who are Felix’s parents?” Miranda immediately stepped forward.
