Chapter 604: Jonathan Is Dangerous

Before leaving for the office that morning, Nathaniel was stopped by Elliot, who informed him that Jonathan wished to see him at the kindergarten that afternoon. He agreed, deeming it time to meet Jonathan. In the afternoon, he had the driver take him home. Cecilia and Elliot were waiting.

"Daddy," Elliot called.

Nathaniel hummed in response.

"Let's go," Cecilia said, having already contacted Vivian to prevent the Sinclair family driver from collecting Jonathan.

An unusual silence settled in the car as the three settled into their seats. Elliot, sensing the tension, said, "Mommy, why aren't you and Daddy holding hands? The other kids' parents always hold hands." He gazed out at the parents walking on the sidewalk. Cecilia, noting the same, glanced at Nathaniel's stern face, quickly looking away.

Nathaniel then offered his hand.

"Mommy, hold hands with Daddy," Elliot prompted.

Cecilia gently placed her hand in his, and he clasped it firmly. Upon arriving at the kindergarten, Nathaniel held Cecilia's left hand, while Elliot held her right. Their family unit stood out amidst the crowd.

Many eyes turned their way, including Miranda's. Overhearing someone mention a strikingly handsome man, Miranda looked and recognized Cecilia and Nathaniel.

"What are they doing here?" she asked.

"Ms. Miranda, do you know them?" a wealthy lady inquired.

Miranda scoffed. "Of course. That woman with the scar is Cecilia, my husband's cousin's wife."

"Your husband's cousin? Is he Nathaniel?" a woman exclaimed, surprised.

"No wonder he's so handsome. That boy must be their son. He's adorable! Like an actor!"

Miranda scoffed again. "What's the point of being handsome if he's blind? Haven't you heard?"

The murmurs of pity and gossip followed. Miranda, learning that their other son, Jonathan, attended the school, revealed, "My son, Felix, was nearly killed by their son a few days ago. He's dangerous!"

The other mothers, mostly picking up their children, exchanged uneasy glances toward Cecilia and her family. Cecilia, focused on waiting for Jonathan, remained oblivious.

School ended. Jonathan, already prepared for his mother's arrival, was stopped by Felix.

"Hey, Jon, are you Elliot's older brother?"

Jonathan rolled his eyes. "You're only realizing this now?"
