Chapter 605: Homeschooling or Kindergarten

Felix was dumbfounded. "So, you're also my Uncle Nathaniel's son?"

Jonathan remained silent.

Felix took this as confirmation. "How could you deceive me?"

"What have I deceived you about?" Jonathan countered.

"Didn't you say Zachary was your father?" Felix's face flushed crimson with anger.

"I didn't say that. You did," Jonathan retorted, slinging his bag over his shoulder. His gaze was frosty. "Is that all?"

Startled by Jonathan's icy demeanor, Felix took a step back. "Y-yes. That's all."

Jonathan left, leaving Felix seething in the classroom. "How dare you lie to me! And I considered you a friend!" A glint of icy resolve flashed in his eyes. "No one can usurp my position in the Rainsworth family."

Outside the school gates, Jonathan immediately spotted his parents. He approached them.

"Jon," Cecilia greeted, waving.

Jonathan smiled. "Mommy." He then turned to Nathaniel, saying, "Mr. Rainsworth," instead of "Daddy." He'd spent considerable time with Nathaniel, his feelings evolving from dislike to neutrality, but he still didn't feel close enough to call him father.

Nathaniel nodded. Taking Cecilia's hand, he was about to leave when a woman approached.

"You must be this boy's parents. Would you like to join our parents' group chat? We use it to notify parents about school activities," she offered.

Cecilia, unaware of the chat, readily added the woman on WhatsApp and joined.

After Cecilia left, the woman told Miranda, "She's joined the group."

Miranda nodded. "Thank you, Mrs. Veymar."

"You're welcome, Ms. Miranda," replied Priscilla Carey.

Miranda, with little work, joined the parents' association. Due to the Rainsworth family's investment in the kindergarten, she became president. Many mothers sought to curry favor with her to benefit their children.

"The school's planning a field trip abroad next week," Miranda said. "Parents need to provide items. Mrs. Veymar, could you privately tell Cecilia about tomorrow's parent-teacher meeting?"

"All right," Priscilla readily agreed, immediately messaging Cecilia.

Cecilia, settling into the car, saw a message from Mrs. Veymar: "Ms. Cecilia, I'm Dorothy's mother. There's a parents' meeting tomorrow to discuss next week's overseas trip."

Cecilia replied, "All right." Then she asked Jonathan, "Jon, is the school planning an overseas trip?"

Raised by Martha, Cecilia was surprised elite preschools organized such trips. Jonathan, reading, nodded. "Yes, the teacher mentioned it."

"Will parents be allowed to go?" Cecilia asked.

Jonathan shook his head. "I don't think so. The teacher said we'll each have a tutor for one-on-one assistance abroad."

Reassured, Cecilia felt at ease.

Elliot, envious, asked, "Mommy, when can I go to school like Jon?"

Before Cecilia could respond, Nathaniel interjected, "Homeschooling or kindergarten. Pick one."
