Chapter 630: All Talk and No Action

The livestream attracted hundreds of millions of viewers, generating over eighty million dollars in tips aloneโ€”a remarkable feat, considering no products were promoted. After bidding farewell to the viewers in the live chat, Jonathan ended the stream.

Meanwhile, Zachary remained unaware of his own appearance on the news and in Jonathan's livestream. He gently patted Jonathan, engrossed in his digital wristwatch. "You should cut back on screen timeโ€”it's not good for your eyes," he advised.

"All right," Jonathan replied, obediently turning off his watch. Zachary found this unusual obedience perplexing. His confusion was resolved upon their return home, when Vivian asked, "Jonathan, are you okay?"

Jonathan nodded. Zachary, bewildered, questioned, "How did you know something happened to him?"

"It's trending," Vivian replied. "You're trending too." She showed Zachary her phone.

Upon seeing the trending news, Zachary understood Jonathan's sudden docility. "You little rascal!" he exclaimed, turning to reprimand Jonathan, only to find the boy already safely ensconced in his locked room.

Vivian then realized Zachary's obliviousness. "Forget it," she said. "Jonathan was just exposing those bullies. Don't be upset."

Zachary handed Vivian a bag. The moment she saw it, her face lit up; she instantly recognized the handbag Cecilia had intended to give her. She kissed the bag.

Zachary looked at her with disdain. "It's just a handbag. Why are you so excited?"

"You don't understand," Vivian retorted, heading to her room, leaving Zachary alone. Bored, he returned to the hospital.

Meanwhile, en route to Daltonia Villa, Nathaniel asked Cecilia seriously, "Why didn't you tell me about Jonathan's situation?"

"I only learned about it after arriving," Cecilia replied.

Nathaniel didn't press further. Upon reaching the mansion, Cecilia exited the car first. A subordinate later informed Nathaniel, "Sir, the entire incident at school was livestreamed. Oscar and his wife, who insulted Jonathan and Mrs. Rainsworth, have been dismissed from their positions. Conrad's mother has also been abandoned by her patron."

Nathaniel was incredulous. "It was livestreamed? Explain."

"The account is 'Jon's Mommy.' It gained twenty million followers in under two weeks."

'Jon's Mommy'? After receiving a full account of the livestream, Nathaniel was surprised by Jonathan's resourcefulness. He hadn't expected such capability from his young son. He requested a copy of the stream. Listening to his wife's bravery and intelligence, he felt both impressed and a pang of regret at not having been there to protect them himself.

"We must ensure they face consequences," Nathaniel declared firmly.

"Yes, sir," his subordinate agreed.

Cecilia, too, discovered the news online, learning about Jonathan and Vivian's newfound internet fame and their surprisingly large following. She called Vivian, who was unusually exuberant. "Ceci, you won't believe itโ€”everyone's asking about Sven's account! I had no idea he was such a skilled fighter. If I'd known, I would have pursued him myself!" Vivian, however, was all talk and no action.
