Chapter 141: Seeing Marvin with Olive

Immediately Bounty heard the name "Olive," she was stunned. "Marvin, do you know Olive?" she inquired. "Yes, the talented medical girl I mentioned is Olive. I wanted to introduce you both," she added. "Aunt, I'll be there soon!" Marvin hung up. Bounty put away her phone. She suspected Marvin and Olive were old acquaintances; otherwise, she couldn't explain his sudden appearance.

Olive sipped her red wine. Pamela approached, her face gloomy. Staring at Olive, she asked, "Olive, how did you meet the principal? Are you hiding something from me?" Olive understood Pamela's feelings. Medicine and education were Pamela's sole measures of success; their loss made Pamela feel worthless. "Pamela, what do you care? Enjoy what you have," Olive said calmly. "Because I'll take everything you treasure and let you taste what I endured ten years ago." Pamela's heart pounded; Olive clearly knew the principal. She sensed this was only the beginning.

Bounty called out, "Olive, come over here!" Olive quickly set down her goblet. "I'm sorry, sis. I have to go," she apologized to Pamela.

Olive joined Bounty, who took her hand and left. Pamela watched them go, consumed by jealousy. Bounty hadn't even glanced at her; her attention was solely on Olive. The feeling of being ignored enraged Pamela; she felt overshadowed by Olive and North.

En route, Olive curiously asked, "Principal, are you taking me to meet your important guest?" Bounty nodded.

Olive saw a tall, handsome young man—the man who often slept at the Ivory Council! Marvin wore a white shirt, a basketball jacket neatly folded in his hand. Olive's eyelashes fluttered. She hadn't expected the mysterious guest to be Marvin.

Marvin saw Olive. He recognized her immediately; two years prior in the Imperial City, they'd treated a severely bleeding patient, their fingers interlacing as they pressed on the patient's chest for an X-ray. He'd searched for her for a year. Seeing her now, grown up and dazzling, he stepped forward.

Olive stared, surprised. "It's you? Did you give Greg's 'Greater doctor' to me? I wanted to thank you, but you'd left." "No need to thank me," Marvin replied calmly.

Bounty approached, confused. "Wait, you know each other? Marvin, do you know Olive?" "Marvin? Is that your name?" Olive asked. "Just learning your name now, despite being colleagues," she added playfully. "Olive, you're studying at the Ivory Council? You two must be connected! I wanted to introduce you," Bounty exclaimed. "Really? He really likes to sleep," Olive teased.

Bounty hit Marvin's back. "You child! Don't create a bad impression!" Bounty apologized to Olive, noticing Marvin's gaze. "Olive, Marvin isn't sleepy; he was probably bored. He's a Canadian academician since age twenty," she explained.

Olive was stunned. She'd met older academicians; Marvin was the youngest. "Oh, my bad. I'll be more careful," Olive apologized. Marvin smiled faintly. He didn't remember her forgetting him.

Elvis arrived, immediately becoming the center of attention. As he turned, he saw Marvin and Olive conversing.
