Chapter 184: Olive, Youโ€™re Making Me Want You More

Elvis knew who it was without looking. "Ma'am, you're getting bolder by the day. You asked me to be your driver while I was still working, didn't you?"

Olive hugged him tightly from behind, clinging like an octopus. "Mr. Augustine, why are there no taxis? And besides, am I not your lady again? You should be happy I requested your services."

Elvis chuckled, held firmly by Olive. He closed his handsome eyes. "Olive, you're making me want you more each day."

The Hart family was shrouded in gloom. Patrick and Monica couldn't believe Olive had saved the old lady. Patrick was restless. Since Olive's return, she'd repeatedly surprised him. "Pamela, what's going on? I sent Olive to the countryside at nine. Where did she learn medicine? This has to be a misunderstanding, a joke," he muttered incredulously.

Monica's face was pale. "Pamela, this is serious. If Olive surpasses you in medicine, challenging her later will be difficult."

Pamela understood her mother's implication. She hadn't been able to compete with Olive romantically, and now professionally. Compared to Olive, she was clearly a sore loser.

"Mom, Dad, Olive is hiding secrets. Dean Sebastian is holding a conference at the Starzeal Hotel. I'm going to find out the truth!" Pamela grabbed her bag and left, unwilling to waste time.

Patrick and Monica quickly followed. "Pamela, wait! Let's go with you. We want to see what games Olive's playing!"

All the LA media reporters had gathered. The press conference was about to begin. Dean Sebastian glanced at his watch. "Director Hudson, the conference is almost starting. See if Olive has arrived."

"Yes, Dean." Director Hudson prepared to search for Olive.

A sweet voice called out, "Dean, Director Hudson, I'm here. Sorry I'm late." Olive rushed in.

The spotlight immediately fell on Olive. "Olive, good you're here. Let's get to the podium."

"Okay, Dean."

Dean Sebastian led Olive to the podium, signaling the conference's start.

"Dean Sebastian, Olive's educational background is a mystery. Can we know the truth?"

"Dean Sebastian, everyone knows Olive is the Harts' daughter, and Pamela has been a medical student for years, even attending Holy Nile Academy. But Olive grew up in a rural orphanage. How did she acquire her medical skills? Was she self-taught?"

"Academically, Olive shouldn't be able to compete with Pamela. How did she become so proficient?"

The reporters bombarded the Dean with questions. Pamela, Patrick, and Monica were present, skeptical of Olive's abilities and eager to expose any falsehoods.

Pamela, always in the spotlight, considered Olive a nobody. It didn't matter where Olive learned her skills; she lacked formal educationโ€”that was Pamela's victory. She adjusted her posture proudly.

Dean Sebastian waved his hands. "Everyone, quiet! Olive's education has been a mystery. To be honest, her background is quite impressive. She's a first-class medical graduate from Imperial University, and holds a double postdoctoral degreeโ€ฆ"

"What?"

A double postdoctoral degree? Pamela's heart seized. How could a recent rural orphan have such credentials?

"Olive, you're lying!" Pamela accused, stepping forward.

The reporters, thrilled at the drama, turned their cameras toward her. They directed the microphone to Pamela. "Pamela, why do you think Olive is lying? Do you have any evidence? President and Mrs. Hart are here. What do you think about Olive being a double postdoctoral graduate?"

Pamela glared at Olive, her face twisting into a sneer. "Olive, a double postdoctoral degree holder? This is a joke! You're only twenty, and claim to have a postdoctoral degree?"

Olive calmly watched Pamela's display. She sighed. "Pamela, I know it's hard to believe, but it's true."

Pamela snorted. "Then what was your college entrance exam score? We all know the requirements for Imperial Medical University. Don't lie."

All eyes were on Olive. Calmly, she curled her lips. "I'm sorry, but I didn't take a college entrance examination."

Everyone's expressions changed. "She's a postdoctoral graduate, but didn't take the entrance exam? How is that possible? Is she lying?"

Pamela laughed, believing Olive had failed. "Olive, you didn't take the entrance exam, yet you have a doctoral degree? Educate us!"
