Chapter 233

Marvin’s gaze returned to Olive. He wondered if she knew people awaited her at Imperial. He felt he'd never truly understood her.

The stewardess's sweet voice announced, “Dear passengers, your flight C81 to Canada is now boarding.”

“Second master, let’s go through the VIP security,” Phil suggested politely.

Marvin had initially planned a private jet, fearing something might happen to Olive, but he’d booked the same flight instead.

He was about to respond when his phone rang—Lily Augustine, his mother. He glanced at Olive, then moved to a quieter corner to answer.

“Hello, Mom,” Marvin said.

“Marvin, are you boarding? Your Aunt Bounty said you found a girl and are bringing her to Imperial. I’ll pick her up at the airport—a great way to win her heart!” Lily’s enthusiastic voice chirped.

Marvin scoffed, his demeanor hardening. “She’s not what you think, Mom,” he muttered.

“Really?” Lily questioned indifferently. “Marvin, you have excellent taste. Few girls capture your attention. Honestly, I prefer the girl you were betrothed to.”

Marvin sighed, gritting his teeth. “I don’t want the woman you choose. I’m capable of choosing my own, okay?” he responded emotionlessly.

The conversation grew tense.

“It’s for your own good, Marvin.”

“Mom, I’m boarding. Bye,” Marvin began to hang up.

“Marvin!” Lily stopped him. “Your father’s gone to Los Angeles.”

Marvin paused, unaware.

Chapter 211

Olive grabbed her suitcase, turning toward security. Then she heard North scream.

Spinning around, she saw two men in black dragging North away.

“North!” Olive yelled, dropping her suitcase and chasing after them.

Exiting the lobby, she stopped, seeing a Lamborghini parked outside. A man in a black suit and glasses waited. He resembled Elvis’s secretary, Andrew.

A cold light flashed in Olive’s eyes. “Who are you? Where’s my friend?”

The man smiled slightly. “Hello, Miss Hart. I’m Jasper Luke, the Augustine empire’s personal butler. Your friend’s been returned to the modeling agency—safe. Miss Hart, my boss wishes to see you.”

Olive’s heart sank at the news. Jasper seemed to appreciate Olive’s intelligence.

“Yes, Miss Hart, please get in the car. My boss awaits.”

Olive looked at Jasper, her eyes bright and calm. “I hope my friend isn’t taken like this again. There shouldn’t be a repeat of this.” She turned and walked away.

Jasper stared, admiring her. She'd guessed his boss and refused to go, even issuing a warning. He watched her slender figure and said, “Miss Hart, the eldest young master is in the hospital. Are you certain you don’t want to see him?”

Olive stopped, turning swiftly. “What’s wrong with Elvis?”

“Eldest young master took a bottle of sleeping pills. He was found in time and rushed to the hospital, but he’s still unconscious,” Jasper explained.

Olive’s eyes widened. An entire bottle? Was he crazy?

Marvin hung up, turning to find Olive gone.

“Where’s Olive?” he anxiously asked Phil.

Phil touched his head. “Miss Hart was just here.”

Chapter 241

Marvin’s heart leaped. She’d disappeared the moment he looked away. His bad feeling proved true; she couldn't leave the city.

He knew Olive might not want to stay in Los Angeles, but her deepest ties remained there, preventing her move to Imperial.

At the hospital, Olive rushed in, pushing open the ward door. Only Elvis was there.

He lay in a hospital gown, unconscious. Olive approached, her eyes falling on his pale face. The only sound was the heartbeat monitor.

She reached out, her trembling fingers touching his face. The man she’d hated that morning lay weakly before her. Tears streamed down her cheeks.

The door opened again. Mrs. Samantha entered, her eyes red and tear-filled. She stared at Olive lovingly. “Olive, you’re back!”
