Chapter 25

Throughout their encounter, Belle hadn't even glanced at the bag. She laughed lightly. "This bag is worth $250,000. I don't even need to look at it. If I want it, I can buy it. Kyle, can you do that?"

Kyle was speechless. Wasn't she making herself look foolish? She wanted to show him the gap between them by flaunting her wealth, as if throwing two million dollars into the sea would be more effective. "That would have been more direct, and cooler too," she muttered.

Kyle shook his head silently.

Belle saw his silence and laughed coldly. "I know you won't accept this easily. It's alright, I can help you with that."

She then visited several shops, buying clothes, shoes, and jewelry. However, upon reaching a particular jewelry shop, she hesitated, seemingly wanting to enter but reluctant to do so. Her four bodyguards already carried several bags filled with her purchases.

Kyle chuckled. "We've passed this place three times. Isn't this just a jewelry store? You've already spent at least a million dollars today. Your spending power should be more than sufficient to—"

Kyle was right. Belle had spent a million dollars in twenty minutes. However, she still hesitated to enter Heavens' Jewels, a shop owned by the Heavens Group, with prices even she found daunting.

Hearing Kyle's words, Belle's hesitation vanished, replaced by aggression. "Today's your lucky day. You didn't spend any money, yet you're getting a broadened worldview. You have no right to mock me! I didn't go in because I wanted to spare your self-esteem, but since you insist on being sarcastic, let's go in. I won't lose anything, while you'll be completely shattered."

She strode inside, making Kyle roll his eyes. "What sort of silliness is this?"

Heavens' Jewels was markedly different from the other shops. Its architecture and service were superior. This was unsurprising, given its ownership by the Heavens Group.

The staff member, seemingly unaware of Belle's identity, greeted her respectfully: "Good day. Please browse at your leisure. Call me if you need anything." Belle's demeanor naturally commanded such deference.

Belle gazed at a necklace, captivated. The staff member promptly introduced it: "This is the 'Heart of the Sea,' a new design by a renowned overseas jewelry designer. Its intricate design process accounts for its $9 million price tag."

Belle's net worth exceeded $100 million, but her readily available cash was closer to $10 million. Spending $9 million on a necklace was therefore a significant hurdle.

Kyle stood behind her with apparent indifference, which Belle perceived as mockery. Hadn't she promised to show him the life of the rich and the vast gap between them? As a famous CEO, how could she hesitate at a mere $9 million?

Belle bit her lip. Backing down would invite Kyle's scorn. "Bring out all your most expensive jewelry. I want to see them."

Kyle found this amusing. Wasn't she pretending to have money she didn't possess, creating problems for herself? Belle, however, simply wanted Kyle to understand her unattainable status.

The staff member led Belle to another display case. Belle was stunned by its contents.
