Chapter 26
This wasn't a single piece of jewelry, but a set! The staff member didn't remove anything from the cabinet but gestured towards it. "There are six items in total: a brooch, two bracelets, a necklace, and a ring. The philosophy is to convey an air of elegance from head to toe, perfectly suiting ladies of your age group."
"This set uses the finest jewels, designed by master jewelers from overseas. We only sell it as a complete set, costing 100 million dollars. There's only one in the world, which represents its uniqueness."
The jewelry was already stunning, but the staff member's explanation intensified Belle's desire to the point of obsession.
Humans desire and pursue beauty; they have a fiery passion for beautiful things. Anyone who claims to dislike jewelry is likely deceiving themselves—probably because they can't afford it.
Belle was captivated, but the price—100 million dollars—shattered her happiness. She couldn't afford it.
At that moment, Kyle walked up. His eyes narrowed slightly at the jewelry's beauty. He asked, "What's its name?"
"Snow White Love, sir. Don't you think its shine resembles freshly fallen snow?"
Hearing this, Belle sneered. "You don't need to answer his questions. He couldn't accumulate 100 million dollars in a lifetime."
"Kyle, I thought you didn't care for worldly possessions, but I underestimated you. Your taste is expensive."
Kyle ignored Belle, pointing at the Snow White Love set. "It's one of a kind. Are you going to buy it?" The question silenced Belle.
Of course, she wanted it; it was beautiful. But it was far too expensive. A few million, even 20 million, she could just manage, to highlight the chasm between them and Kyle. But 100 million? Impossible. She didn't have the cash.
"Wait, why are you acting so arrogantly? Does it matter to you whether I buy it or not? Or do you want to buy it instead?"
Kyle shrugged. "If you want it, you can have it. Why are you so anxious?"
"You'll let me have it? If you want it, buy it yourself! I'm curious—how will you pay for it? Did your imprisonment make you mad or stupid?"
Belle crossed her arms. "This costs 100 million dollars. Did you think it's a thousand?"
Kyle ignored her, taking out his card and handing it to the staff member.
Both Belle and the staff member were stunned. This was true spending power. To Kyle, a thousand dollars and 100 million seemed the same. "Rich" was an inadequate description of his attitude.
Belle was most surprised. Confusion was etched on her face. Since when did Kyle have this kind of money? If this was an act, his performance was impeccable. Why had she divorced him?
This was Heaven Group's own store. Kyle's direct use of his card was risky. Had he not considered the consequences?
"I've bought my item. I'm leaving; I don't have time to shop with you." Kyle waved and stepped aside. Belle was furious but controlled her anger, wanting to probe further.
However, the staff member quickly returned, "Sir, I apologize, but this card, belonging to Faith Curtis, has insufficient funds."
Kyle's eyes narrowed. Recognizing Faith's card, he scratched his head in embarrassment. Each of his cards held over 100 million dollars, but he'd used Faith's card by mistake.
